same_ol_g35
An absolute howler from McCrorie in goals. Looks like he dove out the way of a shot straight at him.
HibeeJibee
So 3-1 loss... and once again a couple of star results v big guns are more than outweighed by several poor results v lower seeds. We cannot qualify now. Next competitive game after Tuesday is in 11 months.

HibeeJibee
Results over the last 2 campaigns under Sbragia and Gemmill have been pretty poor - 6 wins out of 22 games. All the more remarkable 2 of those have been against the Netherlands. Doing well at Toulon with U20s has deflected a bit of the criticism, IMO.W 2-1 (A) v Northern IrelandL 1-2 (H) v France D 0-0 (H) v Iceland D 2-2 (H) v UkraineL 0-2 (A) v FranceW 3-1 (H) v Northern IrelandL 0-1 (H) v FYR Macedonia L 0-4 (A) v Ukraine L 0-2 (A) v Iceland L 0-2 (A) v FYR Macedonia(finished 5th of 6 in group)L 0-4 (A) v Slovakia (friendly) D 0-0 (H) v Estonia (friendly)W 2-0 (H) v NetherlandsL 1-3 (A) v EnglandW 2-0 (A) v Latvia D 1-1 (H) v LatviaL 0-2 (H) v Ukraine D 1-1 (A) v AndorraW 3-0 (H) v Andorra W 1-1 (A) v NetherlandsL 1-3 (A) v Ukraine (H) v England(will almost certainly finish 4th of 6 in group)

The last 18 months the u21s have had a very low average age. I saw 30 minutes of last nights game and we were the better side. I’m confident that a fair number of the players are good enough, although some are not.
Gordopolis
Very mixed record. Shame he didn't have Hornsby, Burker King or Mikey Johnston last night. All three could have made a difference at that level. My £5 ticket to watch the game Vs England at Tynecastle on Tuesday no longer looks so much of a bargain... Doohan Smith - Bates - Porteous - Taylor McCrorie - Campbell Cadden - Gilmour - Morgan Shaw
Gordopolis
Disappointing to hear Hornby is out for the rest of the year. Also think Middleton worth a shout for a start. Looking fwd to seeing how Billy Gilmour does though.

Forest of Dean
Started OK but clinging on at the end. One chance from a set piece all we have to show from the first half. Shame we don't have many striker options on the bench as Shaw has been awful all game.
