Radford
Couple of parents on the St Johnstone forum saying that the club aren't entering the Reserve League next season. Saints were the last to sign up for this campaign but it appears aren't going to carry that on going forward. They have used the league both for young players and for keeping fringe first team players active, so it'll be interesting to hear what the plan is now, especially on the second aspect as there doesn't appear to be much of an opportunity for bounce games if other clubs are playing reserves football. It's hard to see how the club can run with, approaching a team of, young players not eligible for the U18s if they aren't in the reserve structure either but they have had five players on loan at BSC Glasgow this season, so may use the Lowland League for the ones they want to bridge the gap between the U18s and first team squad with. Any other clubs rumoured to be dropping out of the Reserve League?

I'll be glad, as it'll stop all the parents creating threads every so often claiming the youth system is somehow being neglected purely because it looks like their kid isnt good enough.
NJ2
Hearts 3-0 QoS. The lesser spotted David Vancek on the score sheet for us. Glad to hear he’s alive if nothing else.
NJ2
Vancek with another! This time in a 5-0 win away to Killie. Morrison double, Hamilton and Moore with the others.

Andy_K_97
Killie 2 Dundee 1 at RP this afternoon. Dundee ahead early but Killie equalised before HT and won through a penalty conceded by Jack Hamilton who kicked out at one of the Killie players. Unusually Dundee wore their sky blue away kit in the first half but did a reverse Man United and came out wearing grey training tops with no numbers in the second half. Christophe
Hamilton 0-0 Hearts in today’s other game...a decent enough game for a goalless match. Both had chances to win but probably Hearts will be feeling they should have done more, following a really good period of pressure in the last 15 minutes where the won several corners but couldn’t get one over the Hamilton defence. Match was brightened up by Chris Hamilton almost offering the standside assistant out for a square go in the car park midway through the second half! I love hearing every shout at this level! edinabear
Looks like this might be in doubt for next season. As a Rangers fan I really don't understand our stance on this to be honest. I thought everyone was on board with reinstating the reserve league and after 1 season this changes. https://www.scotsman.com/sport/football/celtic/celtic-and-rangers-u20-teams-set-to-quit-reserve-league-next-season-1-4919153
Christophe
Disappointing if this happens, but that article was pretty much propaganda for the colts in league 2 campaign. Get that idea so far to f**k....
TavTastic
Final league game of the season is at 2pm today. Table currently looks like this: Only way Hibs can win the league is if Celtic and Rangers both lose. Rangers with the goal difference advantage over Celtic but a harder game. I couldn't find a Falkirk line up but here are all the teams: Edited May 6, 2019 by TavTastic
RandomGuy.
We're 1-0 up v Celtic at half time. Some absolutely delicious tears from their fans on Twitter that we dared to select first team players returning from injury, instead of just rolling over for them.

Some absolutely delicious tears from their fans on Twitter that we dared to select first team players returning from injury, instead of just rolling over for them.Enjoyed reading some of the crying messages on Twitter claiming it’s a “team of first teamers” and the like. Easton hasn’t played a first team game for 18 months due to injury, neither Swanson nor Wotherspooon are in the first team picture and Comrie.. well Radford can fill in the blanks there. The rest are youth products who’ve never been near a first team XI. Magic to see people greeting about something so inconsequential.
Arch Stanton
neither Swanson nor Wotherspooon are in the first team picture...Both played at SMP.
Radford
Was surprised to see Wotherspoon involved as had assumed he was injured at the weekend. In my eyes, he's very much a first team player but has only played 45 minutes in the past two months, so is that not exactly the point of the reserves? The other four (there were five first team players, not seven as they were claiming) have a grand total of 6 league starts between them this season: none for Keown or Easton, one on the opening day for Comrie and five for Swanson. Johnston and Henderson have started 11 games between them.
