East Fife v Arbroath

Recommended Posts

Agree regarding quality of highlights. As fans we tend to take  these packages for granted.

There is no doubt that Arbroath are an excellent side with quality throughout the starting line up and on the bench. A club on the up.

From an EF viewpoint, concerns at all levels-player,managerial,fan number, and Board .

Player wise, Smith, Meggat, Docherty, and Linton are all back  in training . Hopefully some will be available v Montrose- an absolutely crucial game for the team.

Managerially , there are obviously concerns about Darren Young. If the club had any money, I suspect he would have been gone by now.As other fans have said, as a team we cannot continue to haemorrhage goals from corners-different players as last season -same outcome. For Arbroaths first goal from a corner, for example,Craig Watson can be seen on the edge of the 18 yard box marking Swankie. Surely as a 6 foot plus defender he should be on the 6 yard box .

It cannot be easy for the Board to   manage the finances of the club against a backdrop of  diminishing  fan numbers. We all want the best players  the club can afford but within budget. A winning team will entice some fans back but unfortunately the trend in numbers, probably in common with other clubs, is going south. Exactly where the club will be in 10 years time is worrying.

Over the close season I was critical of the Board and there seeming reluctance to. engage with the local community and in general to promote/talk up the club .

EF TV has interviewed players, fans ,and managerial staff. The misiing link =the Board of Directors.

How about it EFTV? An interview with the Chairman?
