The Pedestrianisation of Glasgow City Centre

Recommended Posts

Wouldn't make a blind bit of difference in your 'single-eco lane'.   They'd have absolutely no where to pass and cyclists with earphones on ain't moving for anyone.
The only folk who'd endorse your shite plans are those in the funeral industry.

Cars can move over kerbs and temporarily park on the pavement: indeed Sauchiehall Street’s kerbs have been reduced to facilitate this as well as accessibility for older and disabled pedestrians.

It’s really not my fault that you’re too lazy and/or thick to sustain a credible argument. Thanks for playing anyway.

So absolutely no solution to the problems with loading, taxis, cyclists or indeed the sensible comment you failed to answer about workmen.   Just cars can drive onto the pavements to get out the way and the pavement can act as a temp car park.   Presumably your enlarged pavements/ public areas wouldn't have anti-terror pillars as in your 'idiots guide to transport studies' your solution to pedestrianising Glasgow city centre in the area designed for pedestrians can be used by cars.

The current situation where cars use the road and pedestrians use the pavements works perfectly fine.    Only a fool like you would wish to change this.

To be fair only a complete fool would enjoy walking down Sauchiehall St at all.
