Strikers coming through

Recommended Posts

I don't think we can afford to be too choosy out of some honour, particularly as international football sadly loses more and more relevance.  If someone is eligible by the rules, and can come in and perform professionally while being better than what we have, I don't care if he joins the squad with a bag full of finest Royal Family crockery and a bulldog.  Ritchie never seemed arsed at all, apart from a brief period during the Poland game.  But there's a big difference between not feeling particularly Scottish, but still wanting to join up and give 100% for the side, rather than "naaaah, can't be arsed with that right now, maybe later".

But to be honest, if he's already turned us down once, let alone twice, Adams in particular is probably not worth pursuing.

So that's Fraser Hornby made his move to Stade Reims. They finished 6th in League 1, which is quite impressive. Be interesting to see how he gets on.

If Griffiths is fit and available then surely he starts?

McBurnie is very obviously our best striking option and fits in with the style of striker Clarke likes.

He fits in with the style of play we say is for us as we don’t have any quality to be more expansive

Levein wasn't the one who went in the huff and refused to show up.

Yes initially. A different manager that wasn’t such a stubborn git could have had it resolved by the next round of fixtures. Fletcher had publicly stated he would play again for Scotland long before Levein recalled him.

🤣 what's fake? The nationality part?

The guy certainly exists, says Google.

And with a name like that, he certainly sounds like a player.

All of it.

You can put anything on the internet these days.

Don't be so naive.

Thats convinced me, until he's up front for us banging them in i refuse to believe in him.

Do you really think if this "Ewan Aird" existed Steve Clarke wouldn't have had him in the squad already, a player supposedly at one of the biggest clubs in Spain?

Do you think Clarke's stupid?
