Stranraer probably should've won that or at least got a point going by they second half chances.

They really shouldn't. They had tonnes of possession against ten men, but they did absolutely nothing. They took hee-haw because we managed the game brilliantly. Our defensive performance and shithousing towards the end of the second half was glorious. Three boys trying to kick lumps out of Wedderburn and Hendry when they had the ball at the corner flag.

Goal line clearance, a brilliant save and a sitter of a header in the six yard box? How's that nothing haha? Could've easy had 3 in that 45 minutes on another day

Possibly against any other team/manager in this league.

The header i'll grant you, since he'd slipped his marker and at that angle and range Thomson will have no chance to save it.

The other two you mention? Nah, in both cases we have players doing what they are meant to do. Might as well say we should've had a third in the first but for a very well timed tackle.  In 50 odd minutes of play, Stranraer managed one chance where our cover was gone and the keeper stranded. Lucky the boy got nowhere close to getting his own angles right.

Rest of the game was well defended by Rovers.

Late header was a sitter. Other than that there was a good save from the keeper, and the one off the line was a Centre Back covering for his keeper who had to come out and deal with the ball. When you consider the fact we had to play 50 minutes with ten men, with an already depleted squad, one gilt edged chance isn't so bad.

It wasn't pretty, but it was the exact kind of performance that Mcglynn is famed for with us, and under Barry Smith we would not have seen at all.
