Recommended Posts

Right then this threads gone quiet.

Who we got  ?

Callum Elliot, Neil Jancyk,Ian Little,Buck Rodgers,Billy Broon, Kerr Dodds,Ian Fergus,Gordon Rae,Davy Mcglynn or any other ex junior manager,John Mcglynn,Gary Locke,Martin Lauchlan,Mickey Lawson wi Terry Christie,an Edinburgh South juniors takeover,a ww committee picking team like the old days.

None o these even probably remotely be of any interest but gotta speculate to accumulate

Plenty options there, would you want an ex Junior Manager or prefer someone with experience of LL or EoS?
Or does it matter if they can bring in some players who will help lift us up the league?

Exactly someone who can work miracles keep us in league and stabilise it next season so we can compete wi gala, vale, strollers and the uni teams at least.

Any team can beat any team in this league I've no had a coupon up yet !

I agree, the right person to coach the team, possibly bring in a couple of players and we can hopefully climb out of the bottom two

Wee bit worried regarding the timing and players available at this time but  the candidate will surely have contacts.

That's true, but as you say would expect the right manager to have contacts to bring in a few players, it seems to happen at other clubs when the manager changes.
Hopefully in place for our next LL game or even before that so he can see the lads at training before he has to put a team on the park.

Timing is a concern but whoever it is will be an improvement on what you’ve been watching recently - even with the same set of players , if they are set up properly , have a way of playing and allowed to express themselves you’ll see a massive difference- still need a few good experienced players and a manager that can communicate.

so -   Applications are being taken for the vacant manager position and interested parties should submit their CV to whitehillwelfare@gmail.com by Thursday 22 November at 5pm. Applicants must hold, or be working towards, a UEFA B Licence as a minimum requirement.

Wonder what the response (if any ) was ,, still say a few decent players in is more important  at this stage  but fingers crossed for both

No problem with people being positive but I personally think a few people are going to be shocked when reality hits, it's like a Xmas wish list at the moment, young forward thinking manager, good experienced player's,squad of young players being poor suddenly improving overnight, picking up wins at a much much higher percentage than has happened and importantly...money to achieved the aforementioned....some wish list, especially when santa no longer calls.......

I think we could be surprised at the interest , always an attractive job , although it hasn’t looked like it there’s still a lot of good young players there who haven’t played with any freedom to express themselves- Ally Smith , Kyle Mitchell , Somerville , dowie all potentially good players but need good experienced players in. Said in an earlier post that we forced young players out the door because they weren’t suited to the managers style- ( what style?)

Applications meant to close tonight!! If they’re not happy with the quality of application the should extend rather than choosing another guy who they don’t really want and doesn’t fit the bill

I'm well aware of the closing date being today I would hope they'd be inundated wi applications,if no then surely an extension would be common sense but if you haven't got enough applicants by now then we really are in trouble!
