BFTD
Whatever gripes you have with the BBC these days, it's always worth remembering that The Daily Heil has been absolutely frothing about its existence for decades, and it's vitally important that the Nazi sympathisers are eternally frustrated in their attempts to get the things they're really passionate about.
Dan Steele
As the UK now has Liz Truss as PM and a Cabinet of her like-minded friends in place, I'm guessing this is the correct thread to post this

Pretty sure I read that the SD was the most popular party amongst Swedish Trade Unionists, that’s a worrying thought.
Florentine_Pogen
https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2022/sep/15/far-right-sweden-intolerance-liberalism-election-results It might be tempting to draw the conclusion that the progressive Pippi Longstockings are dying out in Sweden, while a new generation of aggressive conservatives is taking over. But rather than reflecting any drastic shift in the liberal ethos of Swedes, the election results reveal a more uncomfortable truth: that perhaps Sweden’s supposed liberalism was never that deep to begin with. Back in the 1980s, the ethnologist Åke Daun argued that the average Swede was extremely conformist and consensus oriented. He found that in neighbouring Scandinavian countries, 4-6% of people disliked the company of those whose ideas and values they did not themselves share. But in Sweden the figure was 45%. Since then, the main representatives of such “dreaded” difference – immigrants and their descendants – have come to constitute a quarter of the population. But many “native” Swedes do not typically mix with them – and flee their neighbourhoods if they move in. Then there is an unemployment rate among the foreign-born population of almost 20%. Sweden has also seen a surge in shootings and organised crime over the last year. The reasons behind the increase in crime are complex – class and social exclusion play an important role – but the result is a political and media debate that focuses on the supposed values or cultures of immigrants themselves.

Integration will work best if it’s managed and if people integrate.
GiGi
Is it really any wonder this section of the forum is such a car crash when here, in the normalisation of the far right thread, you have the same 2 or 3 troll aliases normalising the far right dragging every thread into the same horrific shit? The mods are right to crack down on abuse but they should crack down on the aforementioned dafties as well.
Guest
This is similar to the "Teaching the Controversy" principle. Fabricating the existence of a question or a debate where none exists. Then the cynical appeal to shallow identity politics with emphasising the fascist's gender. Sky News is a shiter of an outlet.
