Can I just put a question to you Duries Air Freshener.

I don't know of your family circumstances or if you are married, have a sister etc. But if someone in your family raped a female member of your family, would you be happy that a child had to be brought into the world in those circumstances? Because that is what is being advocated in some American states. It's not just about abortion, for abortions sake, some states are literally wanting victims of rape and incest to have to carry to full term.

there is no need for any bluster or trying to deflect from the point, it's a simple yes or no question.

Hello mate.

I'm married to a woman and have a wee boy, as well as a wee girl on the way (8 days to go!)

I would be distraught if a female family member had been raped, so wouldn't be happy at all.

From various testimonies I've read, an abortion doesn't take away the awful pain of rape, with the resulting pregnancy/childbirth sometimes being the 'one positive that can result from it'.  I'll be first to admit that women all have different opinions on this though.

When it all boils down, I see abortion as the deliberate ending of a human life.  It's not the unborn, early-stage human's fault for the awful actions of his/her father, so they shouldn't receive the death penalty.

That wasn't really the answer to the question that I asked which was, if a female member of your family was raped by a member of their family, would you want a child brought into the world in those circumstances.

I wouldn't an inter-family rape to take place, especially when it resulted in a child.  It'd be horrendous.

So you don't stand for what some of the pro life lobby do in the US. That's fine. Glad we cleared that up.

Just a suggestion. He's only here to tease people who actually care about anything.
