The normalisation of the far-right continues

My landlord while I was at college for a bit was heavily in the Workers Revolutionary Party. Total nutcase, non stop nonsensical dialectics that he thought covered techniques for making toast at breakfast. Banned us all from the house phone, before the days of mobiles, so when he fucked off for a night we spent the whole time drinking his whisky and phoning random numbers in Moscow and New York. Had a surprising number of chats, some for quite a long time. Left before his bill came in.

About 20 year back there was a weird bug with Orange PAYG that if ye had £0.00 credit you could phone foreign numbers for free. After getting drunk on Merrydown with f**k all else to do we had a great time prank calling the different precincts of the NYPD.

There's a boy on the rrfc thread trying to shoe horn in a load of jordan peterson type patter to explain why some fellow fans still stick by John McGlynn... it's quite a spectacle. Someone getting called a 'neoliberal marxist' being maybe the weirdest and stupidest turn the thread's taken. Kind of like calling someone bad good or big small.
What it's got to do with football in league one is beyond me

I suppose league one football is much like a socialist regime. Everyone is utterly skint. bQshDtu.png

That depends on one's definition of 'neo-liberal'. Traditionally liberals championed individual freedom and government as a necessary evil, i.e. small government. Nowadays I hear people refer to themselves as liberals, but believe in government censorship, social engineering and a massive welfare state. I suppose it's a bit like how North Korea refers to itself as a democracy...terminology doesn't always have a universally recognised definition or is simply a veneer.
