The normalisation of the far-right continues

A national government that pleases no one is only going to cause more problems in the long term.

There is no chance of the pro immigration Liberals siding with the Swedish Democrats, they might be prepared to join a leftish Government to keep them out. No need for the further right parties.

Think the problem is that the former Communists (Left party) also tend to be systematically excluded from holding any real power by parties of the centre right like the Liberals, so with the two extremes holding about a quarter of the vote combined, the possible coalitions for a stable government are difficult to put together. Maybe they will wind up like Germany with the traditional major parties of the left and right having to form some sort of grand coalition.

The issue in Hungary and Poland is emigration. Huge numbers of their population have left to find work abroad. 90s shiock therapy completely ruined their economies.

The Polish economy is doing really well now and that emigration is actually being reversed to a decent extent with many Poles coming home.

Joining the EU, NATO and becoming a capitalist liberal democracy has been brilliant for Poland.

The Tories love the far right and I'd guess that May is keeping them somewhat left.

Tories officially and publically supporting an avowed anti-Semite.

I’m sure that the BBC, Sky, Guardian, Independent, etc. will have that as headline news for the next six weeks.

I’m sure the various Jewish organisations will all be issuing strongly worded statements of condemnation.

Then again, maybe not.

It's not bad as far as recognising some problems on the 'left' (perhaps more accurately the psychotic 'Progressive' movements), but it sadly still woefully mischaracterises what and who it thinks is the 'Right' and even 'Alt-right', where it came from, and so forth. Unless that's also satire and I'm whooshing.

Shame, she could have settled for 5 grand to a migrant charity and an apology when she knew she'd got it wrong. Hope she meets an empty field in Poland. No doubt Bannon is getting increasingly desperate emails from her begging for a job.
