Most of his teams have been turgid to watch apart from porto

Porto were hellish to watch and probably his most turgid. You're  having a nightmare here.

Aye, no bother. Respect your opinion though.

Buffs totally bottled it from a glorious position and that was also a factor and a pleasing one at that  :thumsup2however  player for player no team was better than beith last season in that league ,therefore as was previously alluded to ,you are indeed talking tosh .8)

In many ways Buffs did bottle it, but given that we were in the relegation play off the previous season, I'll take the progress made and push on again this season.

Beith were turgid to watch last season, Pollok, Cumnock, Kilbirnie all playing a more pleasing brand of football.

What do you mean by just about got over the line?  They did get over the line!

They won the league with most goals scored and least conceded with a goal difference of +40.

Won the Evening Times Cup & beat on penalties in W.OS.C Final & reached Quarters of Scottish yet according to you for much of last season they struggled.

If thats struggling I'll take that any day of the week.

Beith fans were in meltdown all season. It was all doom and gloom, saved by those 10 minutes. If that's enjoying your football, you can keep it.

I get the feeling you're a bit jealous of beith's success :unsure2:

Apology for duff statement - Buffs didn’t finish 3rd in the supposed 2 horse race - in fact they managed to claim 4th spot.
Facts show Beith scored more goals and conceded less than anyone else by a significant margin with a goal difference of +40 (Buffs +14). Stats offer the truth and team at top after a long season always deserve the title.
As for turgid to watch? Everyone’s entitled to their opinion of course but most people want to see goals being scored and Beith did.
Interesting season ahead with reconstruction - I personally couldn’t forecast this season’s winner apart from the fact they will be the ones with the most points. Good chance it could be a tight one again though

The team that wins the most points deserves to win the league, and last season that was Beith.  Buffs had the chance and didn't take it, although certainly in the first half of the season they were one of the better teams in the league.   Out of all the contenders Beith probably had the easiest run in, and had a couple of high scoring results, namely against Rob Roy and Arthurlie, which helped the goal difference.  Beith fans can't deny though that they had concerns about the centre of their defence, one of the die hard fans even made a public apology on their own forum about their captain after disparaging remarks.

You never know if Beith stick in one day they might achieve the same success as the Buffs.

Everyones entitled to their opinions jollyboy, a wee scan of your profile and you were saying beith looked a team in decline after being beaten by the buffs last season which was proven to be wrong . :P

Going to be another interesting season ahead and if buffs dont bottle it again it could maybe go down to the wire again

And what you saw was the buffs just getting over the line in a cup that was so important its been scrapped this season :1eye

Enjoyed the cup win, our first silverware for some time.

Good that I've generated a bit of debate and taken a wee bit of abuse in the process,  gives all the biters something to do.

I stand by my points. Beith got lucky last season and Glens couldn't follow up on their good fortune from the season before. It's not always the best or most entertaining teams that win the prizes, junior football is often about who competes the hardest, who wants it more, who bullies the opposition.

Roll on the new season until we all cross swords again. Good luck to your collective clubs, except against the Buffs.

Lol. Spot on really. I'll take the Buffs quip on my rather large chin.

Thing is, even Beith fans were moaning about them being in decline. Did Beith top the league at any time last season before the final 10 minutes?

To answer your question yes they did, they started really well and won 5 or 6 (including a win over the buffs) games straight at the start of the season and were clear at the top of the league .  Had a good bit of momentum going when postponed Scottish cup matches meaant that they played something like two matches in 10 weeks Stopped us in our tracks.  Took them to the last 6 or 7 games to get back into the swing of things and win their Games.
