New leaders at the top of the table following Rangers 4-0 thumping of Motherwell along with Aberdeen's 1-0 loss to St. Johnstone. All the same in the top 6.

Down at the bottom, St. Mirren now prop up the table following Dunfermline's impressive 1-0 victory away to Killie. Motherwell drop into the relegation play-off zone & Hamilton make up the bottom 4, Dundee's goalless draw with Livi is enough to lift them out of the bottom quarter on goal difference.

Raith Rovers lead at the top now sits at 10 points & a game in hand. it is now impossible for them to drop out of the top 4. Arbroath's shock loss to Airdie & Forfar & Dumbarton's wins see Arbroath drop below both to 4th. Thats 5 wins in a row for Dumbarton now & 7 in their last 9.

Down at the bottom, Morton stay rooted to the spot & Alloa's match with QoS was postponed, Stenhousemuir failed to capitalise on this great opportunity with a loss to Stranraer, Brechin leap-frog QoS after their victory at home to play-off chasing East Fife.

With none of the top 5 wanting to win this weekend, Ross County took a big step towards the top 4, are they in a title race? 9 points behind Rangers but with 2 games in hand. Stranger things have happened. Hibernian boost their hopes of a top 6 finish with a 1-0 win at Aberdeen. Very tight at the bottom with the bottom 5 sides separated by 4 points, (separated by 1 point should St. Mirren win tonight!) All to play for 2 games before the split & some big games to come after the split

Raith suffer a shock loss to Forfar but are still 7 points ahead. Arbroath lose again so lose further ground on Forfar & Dumbarton, East Fife & Stranraer can overtake them by winning their game in hand, Inverness could go level. After Falkirks shocking start to the season they look likely, going on current form, to make a run into the top half of the table for the post split fixtures. Queen of the South can’t seem to buy a win recently as they drop into the relegation play-off spot, Brechin now 5 points ahead of 13th place Stenhousemuir, with 3 games to go until the Quadrant split.

Ooh talk to us about quadrants!

How will this work. In ‘The chanpionship’ the highlighted playoff positions straddle two quadrants...do the champions win promotion automatically? What does the 5th place highlighted team get before/after the quadrant split etc?

I’ll break it down for each league to make it simpler; however in both leagues, after 30 games, teams will be separated into 4 quadrants, 1-4, 5-8, 9-12, 13-16.

Teams will then play each other team in the quadrant home & away to give 36 games for the season.

In the championship, first place is automatically promoted along with 2nd place. 3rd place will play 5th place in the championship over 2 legs, while 4th place will play 14th in the premiership also over 2 legs. The 2 winners of these ties will play a one legged final with the winner gaining promotion to the premiership/regaining their premiership status.

Its pretty much the same for the premiership, 1st is our champions League representative, 2nd is one of the europa league representatives, 3rd - 6th will play-off to determine the final europa league entrant, again 3v6 & 4v5 with two legs.

Leaving the tables looking like this...

Crazy how in this simulation Falkirk are 7 points ahead Ayr (& 2 points off a play-off spot.)

Considering Falkirk were a bottom 4 side for the majority of the season that is some turn around.

This is where it gets difficult, in order for the split to be fair, all teams must have played 30 games, so therefore, for the next few weeks, teams goals will go towards the first game week where they have not recorded a score for. This means that some teams might have played 32 or 33 irl games while only 30 on their table. All their scores will be recorded and used for a game week but it is difficult to say which one yet, with this in mind I will not be posting the W30 fixtures yet as I hope there will be a lot of games played before that. Tables will be up at some point later tonight

I am aiming to get all teams to 30 matches before the quadrant split however if it happens that a team cannot mathematically make it out of said quadrant then we may continue, this is likely to last a few weeks before we have weekly games again. Please remember than SPFL premiership matches on the 3rd of April are not counted for this simulation.

W30 fixtures -

bare in mind, it might be quite a while until these fixtures are played as we try to get all teams on the same amount of games. It may also take goals from different SPFL weeks (especially for premiership, all championship matches will be for next weeks goals)

Motherwell v Dundee

Celtic v Hamilton

Dunfermline v Hearts

Dundee United v Hibernian

Livingston v Kilmarnock

Aberdeen v Partick Thistle

Ross County v Rangers

St. Mirren v St. Johnstone

Montrose v Alloa Athletic

Ayr United v Arbroath

Stenhousemuir v Dumbarton

Forfar v East Fife

Queen of the South v Falkirk

Airdrieonians v Inverness CT

Brechin City v Raith Rovers

Greenock Morton v Stranraer
