GordonS
Ormiston v Linlithgow Rose headcount 114. Actually, there's more folk that I couldn't see because of the dug outs. Make it 125.
Black Dug
Actually, there's more folk that I couldn't see because of the dug outs. Make it 125.Sounds about right. I had 133 including everyone behind the fence about halfway through the second half.

HibeeJibee
There have been 'official' Scottish Cup R1 attendances in past seasons, but sometimes pretty patchy IIRC, and sometimes published belatedly. These been spotted anywhere?

Blowin In the Wind
Wasn’t at the Broxburn game this week - went to see a Junior game (heresy I know but someone on here told me too).

lithgierose
Why are certain clubs holding onto the juniors tag.

I suppose its just preserving their past, you have Boca Juniors and they never played junior

Whisper it but I'd heard Hamilton aren't schoolboys, Inverurie don't fix railway engines, Burntisland aren't unprofessional boatbuilders and Forres even field non-garagemen ...
lithgierose
Well after all the debating about juniors being called exactly that.and folk saying it can put folk off going to games because they associate it with kids football.junior clubs moving to the big boys leagues [emoji16] have the chance to get rid of the juniors tag.just a thought.
drs
Why change the name of the club, its no different a moniker than Rovers, United or the Wee Rose.

HibeeJibee
Tbh I doubt many fans of Camelon or Tranent go around calling themselves "the Juniors", nor will that be a nickname the clubs would use in marketing themselves to prospective supporters - it would be "the Mariners" or "the Belters". If a couple of clubs want to keep the JFC tag for historical reasons - permanently or to begin with - I don't see an issue. To give a serious example Burntisland Shipyard only dropped "Amateurs" for last season despite having joined senior football some 5yrs earlier. From a practical point of view it also avoids the need to immediately replace so many bits of signage, kit, headed notepaper etc. although some have done this (e.g. Easthouses' ground's all rebranded - even EOSL logos etc.). 8MileBU
Didn’t do a full headcount but I’d reckon there was about 200 at Burntisland v Bo’ness on Saturday. Think about 95% of them from Bo’ness[emoji4]

Chart has 178. EDIT: Interesting at this early stage to compare league-only figures with SPFL. Kelty and Bonnyrigg have higher averages than Stranraer, Cowdenbeath, Edinburgh City and Albion Rovers... Tranent higher than Cowden, City and Albion... Bo'ness and Musselburgh higher than City and Albion... Camelon and Linlithgow higher than Albion. However in some cases that's as they've only played a couple of home league games and one was a derby. If you widen it out to include cup-ties (which non-league clubs play more of especially "early on" in the season), then Spartans have a higher average than Stranraer, Cowdenbeath, Edinburgh City and Albion Rovers... Linlithgow and Bonnyrigg higher than Cowden, City and Albion... Kelty and Musselburgh higher than City or Albion... Bo'ness higher than Albion. Some good company to be keeping, for now.
