EOSFL match attendances 2018/19

Recommended Posts

Assuming more than 5 people attended Eyemouth and LTHV (likely I'd suggest!), that was the best-attended week of the EOSL season, surpassing derby international weekend in September.

Arniston complete their season's home program: league average of 107 (highest 200/lowest 70); in all competitions 98.

Hill of Beath league average of 138 (highest 197/lowest 73).

Tynecastle league average of 86 (highest 180/lowest 30).

Blackburn league average of 113 (highest 328/lowest 51); in all competitions 109.

Craigroyston league average of 47 (highest 90/lowest 20); in all competitions 49.

Inverkeithing league average of 105 (highest 301/lowest 40); in all competitions 104.

EDIT: What was the Dundonald v Haddington crowd.

Here's an update to my graph from December, which now runs up to end of March:

5ca35c268f108_EOSAttendancesJulMar201819.png.48979b14ca8bc2c6dd2346d60664ac50.png

Large number of games were postponed on October 13th, all games on December 15th, and almost all games on February 2nd and March 16th, which explains the low levels for those weeks.

Five weekends have exceeded 2,500: the derby international weekends in September and November; the derby Premiership winter break weekends in January; and the groundhop in March, plus March 2nd which was the best "normal" weekend.

Leaving aside those mentioned above which suffered a very large number of postponements - only four weekends have failed to reach 1,500: November 3rd (when 2 games were postponed); December 1st (when 3 were postponed); January 19th (when 5 were postponed / 1 return wanting); and February 9th (when 4 were postponed). Lowest without any off was October 20th on 1,546.

Looking across the entire league the average attendance for league games is currently 125. Conference B is best on 142; followed by Conference C on 119; and Conference A close behind on 114.

Linlithgow have the largest league average on 368 followed by Bonnyrigg on 334, Bo'ness on 271, Musselburgh on 223 and Tranent on 214. Worst are Craigroyston on 47, Stirling University EOS on 46 and Hawick on 42.

Craigroyston and Hawick have not had any crowds over 100 (though Hawick did v Bonnyrigg in Scottish Cup); Bonnyrigg and Linlithgow have not had any under 200.

Coming late to the party with this and apologies if it's been suggested already (I had a look through the threads but couldn't see anything). But have you chaps considered using a shared Google doc for this?

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/0/

Basically it is one central shared excel spreadsheet and everyone works on the same copy. Those trusted to provide accurate info can enter it directly themselves and save @Burnieclub78 some work.

Anyway, it's a great effort from all concerned, thank you for keeping everyone else informed.

Anymore complete season averages following the weekend or others missing from this list?

Useful when you've got a UEFA match delegate at a game to help with attendance. Nice to see Sauchie make use of their floodlights as there were some doubts earlier in the season as to whether they were working.

My not-precise headcount midway through the first half was 130. It could be out by 10 or so either way as I didn't have a good view of those in front of the pavilion.
