It's not the old EoS Premier any more. There are now probably five clubs on board with significantly higher budgets, so they may well have lost out on the dream of SPFL entry after doing so much of the legwork on getting the pyramid going. Very decent of them to groundshare with Edinburgh City under the circumstances, if they had the final say on that.

Is it not a council facility

We have indeed signed Michael Herd.  Any good? Capable of the illustrious levels of League 2?

Good experienced signing. Will be interesting to see where he is played. He had a season at Whitehill in 11-12 and was very much an attacking midfielder with a great strike on him. Went to the Shire in League 2 and scored a few goals in a forward role but got quite a serious injury IIRC. Then joined Spartans where he has played in different positions but usually at right back when I’ve seen them.

Impressive win yesterday away to the Strollers. Spartans have done well to bounce straight back from losing so many big players over the summer.

Thanks Rab. The first half was probably the best I have seen for a while.

Lots of youngsters in the team so some of the performances are a bit up and down. The Rebuilding continues...

Spartans deserved at least a point against the clueless hosts so who’d deny them the win after playing so long with 10 and then 9 men.  It was an excellent team performance.  Dugouts night and day when it came to tactics and structure.  The boy Davidson’s winning goal was immense and topped of a brilliant display from him.

Shire were absolutely clueless. Have they never practiced playing against 10 men? It was like the league cup game of a couple years ago when Spartans played with 10 for 90 mins.
You need to get the ball out wide and stretch the defenders.
It was a tactical masterclass from Sammy. 2 banks of 4 working their socks off, hit on the break, then back in position to defend.
When you are gifted 2 goals and a man advantage you must take your chances.

See you next season......

Is it Sammy?

He did play for East Fife before joining Meadowbank so there is a good chance it is him.

Sure it is. I thought I was being whooshed. He didn’t look that different when he was at Whitehill.

Edit - he’s in the middle of the front row here

Good to see them try humour this on twitter.
Remember that time Dish went off injured and he tweeted this and then deleted it half an hour later?

Let’s see if they’re smart enough to fire this about their twitter
