Tbf to TW, Boyd, Erwin and Jones are far, far better than anything we played in the Cup games. Leaving any defender isolated against them would be an issue.

That is true.

However if we don't have the defenders to cope with a mid level strikeforce one on one then that is a major worry and does not bode well

Well deserved for Kilmarnock. As comfortable an afternoon as they might have all season. There is nothing fancy in the way Killie play, just good players in a good system, with a freedom to express themselves when they get on top. A lot to be admired about them and especially their manager.

Then you come to Saints. A new formation and it was alarmingly obvious. Tommy Wright built his success on being a pragmatist. What others think of him shouldn't matter. He'd do well to remember that, if for whatever reason he has started to forget.

St.Johnstone created nothing all game. We weren't great, but a run of the mill three points against a poor opposition. I'm assuming they'll get better when they've a full squad to pick from.

Really poor performance. The middle of the park is obviously our glaring weakness, but the lack of any real leaders in the team is just as worrying. We've lost big players and personalities right down the spine of the team and haven't got anyone to replace them.

Once Killie scored the first, it was pretty much a case of how many.

At least nobody on here is reading far too much into the first ninety minutes of the league season.

Yeah I agree.

We can all see that, as it stands, we're champions elect and you're definitely going down.

Glad everyone can see this and no one is over reacting.

Very good performance today. In the first half like others have said we had the bulk of possession and looked comfortable with it, but couldn't stick the ball away. Just like last season in the second half (having looked at the system St. Johnstone played and prodded a bit in the first half) we really upped our game and went for it. A couple of slightly nervy moments after the first goal went in but that might just be down to being a Killie fan and being nervous knowing that we might revert to type and cave in. Ndjoli's goal was an absolute belter and I can't wait to watch it back again and again.

Very much looking forward to going to Livi next week to see if the #juggernaut can keep rolling on. It's great to have the proper fitba back.
