still_game Posted July 5, 2018 Share Posted July 5, 2018 hi, im in the middle of inputting data to an excel database i have created that gathers all the info from scottish seasons gone past, and collates the info to create a database of information. matches are viewed on a week to week basis, and may be from various competitions (drybrough cup, league, scottish cup, scot league cup, anglo scottish cup, u21, international) as you click on each match it shows a multitude of information for that specific match. the images below are taken from 1979/80, and 1980/81 as you can see, there is goal times, lineups, referee, yellow cards/red cards, substitutions, venue, attendance, as well s ht score and goalscorers. each match for a particular week is clickable, and displays the relevant info for that match, the info is collated into a table, and shows the players details as well as total matches played for that season in various columns, Im not looking for help (although if anyone wants to help then feel free to message me) im looking for stories, thoughts, feedback etc. id like to add small snippets of details for the matches if i can, eg who missed a sitter, who got away with a dirty tackle and so forth. manager sacked after game would be another. so im looking for like minded footy fans (thats you) to fill me in on details i may not have or have missed, or possibly made an error. currently im working on 1979/80, but 1980/81 is complete, and 1979/80 is 80% complete, the idea obviously is to add as much as i can in regards seasons (i have all the info just need to input to the excel sheet) at the moment i have only input top division matches, and cup matches involving top division clubs, as gathering lower league info can be troublesome. the 1980/81 file contains details of over 300 matches, as does the 79/80 file, so a fair amount of info for all you statto's. feel free to offer feedback, constructive crtique, or feel free to mail me/message me regards more info.
