Club / Support Size

Recommended Posts

Although only intended as a bit of fun, this might prove a bit controversial, but I'll light the blue touch paper and stand back .

Attendances are not routinely taken or published in non-league football, and the Isabel Goudie calculator system of wild exaggeration or outrageous under estimation is far from satisfactory.

However every club has a twitter feed, and most of them are fairly active. Listed below are the clubs by their current numbers of followers.

Could this be considered a rough chart of clubs and/or their supports, from big to small? Clearly some are unexpectedly high or low. Who are especially out-of-place?

Have Dalkeith had a grid penalty? More followers than LTHV but below them in the table. This is not a good way to treat our visionary forefathers who lit the path to EOSL allowing others to follow.

I’d say Broxburn home games about 150-200 people and 30-50 travel to watch them away.

its a bit of a shame that the crowds are so low because I’ve not seen a poor home game in the Super League over the last two seasons and was much better than the L1/L2 stuff I watched previously

Blackburn United average league attendance 2017/18 was 100. Highest attendance was 182 with half our home games 100+. This was up 10% on previous season. If we can match or possibly add couple more per game then that's progress and that's what every club looks for.  Our highest attendance of season was 345 v linlithgow in the cup, wonder if that will be beaten this season. We have a population of 5300 so more work needed to keep number going up.
