sctv
Couple of good runout games , participated in the harthill tournament, first game vs forth (our gaffer Jamie Mckenzie’s former club) the cairn ran out 4-1 winners with giggsy getting the first then a jamie Leslie Garrick to progress to the final v the hosts harthill who been luncarty 1-0Final was well contested , cairn had a number of chances that went abegging, Ryan Bennett saw his penalty saved and the game ended 0-0Cairn won 5-4 on penalties to win the first harthill tournament. Thanks to harthill for the invitation and all the best to harthill, forth and luncarty for the season ahead
Gartcairn Official
Gartcairn are delighted to welcome a trio of summer signings to the club with all three new players coming from the local area, Darren Bowie who was at MTC last season on loan from Cumbernauld United has rejoined the Cairn on a permanent basis. Barry Mcgeechan also returns to MTC Park after his very successful time at Forth Wanderers where he was last seasons player of the season. Kevin Patrick McAllister completes the trio of signings a Goalkeeper who has previously been at Glencairn and Maryhill. Club Manager Jamie Mckenzie said he was delighted with the new signings who would bolster the current squad and with all three being from the Airdrie area it proves that there is a path way for local talent to progress into Junior football if they have the desire to progress. #MTC
