The Ferret have managed to get the policing costs for Scottish Football.  No surprises at the top end as costs seem proportional to crowds but further down seems odd Ayr United are paying twice as much as St Mirren and Falkirk.  Meanwhile Fraserburgh are paying almost as much for, presumably one game, as Dundee United paid all season:

Not really a surprise. Its a combo of crowd size and expected crowd trouble, both in and around the stadium, so you've got the gruesome twosome at the top, then the SFA for internationals and Cup Games, then most of the Premiership teams. SPFL would be what, cup games as well, or do they pay a slice of lower league teams that can't afford to do it themselves.

Ayr may well face higher costs than teams like Falkirk given their location on the Costa del Staunch. Can't help but feeling they attract the dregs when Rangers are away at the other end of the country, driving crowds up slightly and the policing bill up a lot. Either that or the Ayr fans are just nuts anyway?

Hearts number looks a bit high relative to Hibs but then again this wasn't a normal season we were at Murrayfield for some of it and playing amidst a building site for some more of it. We also had two home cup ties (one being a derby)

Or it could be that the Neil Lennon incident is still costing us money

Ross County cost seems mental! Likewise Queen of the South.

Actually most of them are mental, but those two stand out (as well as the previously mentioned ones).

Are teams who aren't on the list, like ICT, paying £0 in policing costs?

Don't recall seeing that many big police presences at Caley stadium but have seen loads of police at some of the derby games in Dingwall and I've never seen a game as heavily policed as our cup tie in Elgin a couple of years back - segregation leaving the ground, police dogs patrolling the touchline, the whole lot.  And the neds still managed to get a fight afterwards!

Policing at the away end in derbies was wild tbh. Pre game there must have been at least half a dozen doing crowd control at the gates, few leading up to Mcleod St at various points, plus several more inside the stadium, and at the barrier itself. If you have the same presence at OF and Aberdeen games then those costs will be high. No idea whether Easter Road has the same amount, but it's never looked like it.

Also these are figures for March 31st to March 31st as opposed to the actual season

So Hibs' figures will take in games against Raith and Queen of the south in April 2017 but exclude Celtic not winning the league &  the 5-5 Rangers game in 2018

There was a huge police presence at the **** game, we also had Killie at the start and they always send more than usual when we play Airdrie, wouldnt be surprised if it was down this year even though we went up.

With Ayr and Morton being quite high in comparison maybe there's more costs when away fans are standing?

ICT might have paid £0 in the championship with no local derby to be honest. I think most games in the league apart from derbies and games with a larger than usual travelling support expected will have been stewards only.

The only games from last season I can recall having a police presence were the 2 home games v Morton, 2 at home to DU and  1 x Livingston at home when we clinched the title, hence the low total.

For the Premiership teams, I wonder what proportion of those costs are effectively for policing Rangers' and Celtic's supporters? A Bigot Tax on all the other clubs in effect.

Certainly I can confirm that in the Edinburgh derby match it'll cost Hearts £5k for the police to arrest a Hibs boy flicking the v's at his mate in the Wheatfield as opposed to it costing f**k all to ignore a ***/tim punching a steward in the face whilst simultaneously shitting on the seat they've snapped off and thrown on the pitch.
