What is the point of Labour ?

Corbyn will win Islington North as an independent at a canter. He holds a 26.2k majority (48.7% of the vote). No Labour candidate beats him in that seat.

Frankly, a wasted effort for all concerned and I'd have thought Keith would have better things to be doing.

Corbyn is a useful bogeyman for the Tory press, so  I imagine Starmer is pretty happy to sacrifice at least one seat in his attempt to reclaim votes from the Red Wall thickos.

How do you think the tory press is going to react when Labour inevitably lose that seat?

Once again, this has nothing to do with Starmer trying to appeal to any voters. The same people that did their utmost to make sure Corbyn never became PM will have had a word in Starmers ear, and told him to punt Corbyn.

These people weren’t just going to leave Corbyn alone now that he’s no longer Labour leader. They’re making an example of Jeremy Corbyn to make sure that nobody with policies like him ever comes near power again.

This is a country that racists like David Baddiel can call a lifelong anti-racist like Jeremy Corbyn a racist and have a large number of people agree with them.

Not from a purely parliamentary point of view, but it will certainly raise more questions that even the fascist media won't be able to avoid .

It'll be a GE so the fate of the mumbleclown won't make the first four pages either way.

We don't know what mumbleclown Starmer is putting up against Corbyn yet. But you could be right. His media stooges will probably want to keep a lid on the Islington result come election time.

Braverman proposing barbarism, dehumanising desperate people under 'stop the boats', getting her facts wrong and being completely blindsided over refugee safety on Laura K's programme, and still Labour oppose it just because it's cumbersome and complicated and won't work. Probably true but it would be nice to see some anger and passion about the inhumanity.

Today they put Lisa 'Personality Vacuum' Nandy in to bat. It didn't come across well.

Lucy Powell making herself look stupid on Breakfast time. Time presenters stated either answer the question or we stop the interview.  I know this will never happen but it would be good to see and we might hear less piss been spouted.

Nagger Munchety once terminated an interview with Ian Blackford because he referred to Boris Johnson as "a madman"

Wtf was wrong with that?
