It is a derogatory term for someones skin colour therefore racist.

But when they're not a raging, blustering mess sending their blood pressure through the roof, they'll not be gammon coloured, so is calling them gammon just temporary racist?

It is racist full stop.

Imagine if you used a derogatory term to describe a black person's skin colour. This place would be in melt down.

I thought you gammony types objected to it being ageist as well?

Apparently we're not allowed to call you c**t or just tell you to f**k off any more so i won't do that. I would be delighted to enter into good faith discussions with you, so long as you can accept the following axioms:

Increased representation of women and minorities on the BBC is a good thing.

Wind power is great.

Meghan Markle is a good addition to the royal family.

Even I wouldn't accept those 'axioms'.

Wind power is only a good addition to other sources.

There is no such thing as no good addition to the royal family since it should have been binned a long time ago.

As far as ‘wid’ additions go, she’s the best possibly ever. Certainly more so than Mike Tindall.

Nah, this always happens ahead of an election when there is a clearly forecast winner. Loads of Tories went to Labour in the mid-90s; loads went back the other way ahead of 2010, and since.

Some folk just want to be with the winning team.

It might often/always happen but there are many Tories who would be very comfortable in Starmer’s Labour Party.

Let’s see if you can figure out why.

I hope there are still some Labour types whose contempt for the Express is matched by their contempt for the has-been Foulkes.

The Labour voters left in Scotland don't even have any contempt for the tories anymore which they're quite happy to switch between.
