It seems that the point of Labour is to make the impossible, possible.

It beggars belief that labour manage to lag 4 points behind the worst government in 300 years.

History will look back on Corbyn and his band of fools as the cabal that stood back and allowed....no, encouraged....the Tories to inflict life-changing economic and social chaos on the country.

Obviously the idiot apologists will try and deflect away from the faults, but fact is that Labour is led by a man who has sold everyone down the river. A man who did his level best to whip us into a hard brexit and a man who doesn't look after the needs of a country, but his own narrow minded world view.

If you needed further proof that Labour won't win another election in your lifetime, then this is it. Conservative Labour may win in 20-30 years or something, but that'll be at a time when they're even further to the right than the Conservatives are now.

Scotland has one way out of this. Everybody knows it. Many sadly pretend that they don't.

Weren’t the polls a ploy to get SNP voters to switch back to Labour?

They'll keep Labour just close enough in the polls to try and sell the idea that a tory government can be prevented if everybody in Scotland votes Labour. The reality is far bleaker for Labour than the polls suggest.

Man of the people Chuka Umunna picks up a nice wee earner on the side.

£65k per annum for 12 hours per month; £451 per hour.

Certainly in mould of Blair.

To answer the thread title there is no point in Labour in its present guise.

If they were to replace their ineffectual leader with someone who would be prepared to take a meaningful stance against the Brexit fiasco there might be a point. They might lose a some of their core support - those who voted for Brexit - but they would be replaced by many more, more than happy to see a party prepared to fight to restore some common sense to the current political chaos.

A politician choosing to line his pockets is hardly a surprise. This type of behaviour is totally expected from our politicians.

How does one go about setting up a think tank? They all seem to be sloshing with cash, seems like a great get rich quick scheme.

I could talk you through the stages for a nominal fee.
