Common knowledge tt. With that and the work the committee are doing along with other funding that is what ispaying for all the ground improvement and and dressing room upgrades. But that won’t suit the majority of posters because it is a story of trying to improve the club and take it forward.

Mr trump had a look at all clubs in Ayrshire and decided  Darvel was the best place for him to invest ,  when we had a meeting with him he said there was no hope for a shitty club in Ayr who didn’t own their ground and had no supporters , we never even asked who he was taking about but his dough has been put to good use off the park and the lottery has 200 members paying £10 pm into the club , things are great up here and the jealousy reeking from other clubs is a joy to listen too

Good work by the committe if they've been able to secure extra funding to improve all areas at Darvel FC,surely some credit should be given at the attempt to change Darvel from a small Ayrshire league club,to one with ambition to play in the premiership.Would fans of other teams seriously knock back investment like this in their team......." i doubt it".Who cares where the money comes from,as long as  its legit and it improves the team and infrastructure then where is the harm,even if its not a success,there will still be foundations put in place that will see junior football continue at Darvel at whatever level they find.I remember similar talk when Hurlford started theyre adventure,a scottish cup win and sitting top of the league,who can blame Darvel for chasing the same dream.

Arthurlie are dreadful. This is the worst Arthurlie team for over 30 years. Darvel drew with the League leaders on Saturday and so anything other than a comfortable win for Darvel on Saturday would be a major shock.

With comments (not the first) like this maybe it would be better shutting this thread down and letting these wee nomarks get their kicks elsewhere. The thread has proved the point that the Darvel Juniors are a mote in the eye for these oxygen thieves and that without this opportunity to play billy big baws they would have nothing  

I get the idea that giving in to these keyboard gangsters is galling but f**k them let them pollute some other thread.
