Poet of the Macabre Posted September 3, 2018 Author Share Posted September 3, 2018 As this is the 10th anniversary of Last Man Standing, I decided to make it a bit more unique by getting a prize for the winner. A few ideas were tossed around at LMS HQ before deciding on this; I'd contact all 42 SPFL clubs and try and get some free merch, which could be collected together and sent to this year's winner. Now, not every club has sent something (in fact some never replied) but several have already sent some GREAT STUFF~! So, I'll be revealing a different item every day until the next Gameweek is over....if I remember. Today's item is...a set of delightful Christmas cards from Partick Thistle! DutchBorderer Posted September 7, 2018 Share Posted September 7, 2018 Week 1 - Edinburgh CIty Week 2 - Peterhead Week 3 - Queen's Park Week 4 - Heart of Midlothian Last week's gamble on a team other than *insert whoever is playing Albion Rovers that week* paid off with Hearts thrashing St. Mirren after a nervy start (with the score tied at 1-1 I was getting a little antsy). For week 5, I can go in depth about my reasoning, but I don't have to at all; I don't want to use my Celtic get-out-of-jail-free card yet, I wouldn't trust Rangers atm even against a hapless Dundee, Alloa is too unpredictable to bet against (I almost chose Dundee Utd last week, dodged a bullet there) with the same going for East Fife, and Dumbarton is facing low-flying Montrose. Hence..... Week 5 - Clyde FC Because they play Albion Rovers who, despite smashing their first three goals of the season past Berwick Rangers, conceded five against the Black & Gold and are now three points adrift from safety with Stirling smashing Elgin. Clyde themselves have done well so far this season, losing to Peterhead and the revamped Edinburgh City but beating Annan last week.
