Adelaide Advertiser saying that Kevin Muscat will pull te plug after this week’s ACL game and that Marco Kurz is a possible replacement. The reporter regularly writes a load of shite though.

Sydney FC are so good on their day at just squeezing the life out of a game. Take all of the momentum. When they won the finals a couple of years ago, they were doing it nearly every week. They were a bit less impactful in the final third today than in those days, even with the disallowed goal, but there's something fascinating about it nonetheless.

Press conference at lunchtime today, expected to confirm Muscat's exit.

Thought Popovic shat the grand final.  Set his team up to nullify Sydney rather than sticking with the approach which won the premiership.

A few days after their grand final heroics, a weakened Sydney FC side have finished their ACL campaign with a 4-0 home loss to Kawasaki Frontale.

None of the GF starting line-up played last night and only 3,813 turned up. 10 games against Japanese opponents without a win.

How is that relevant whatsoever. [emoji38] Sydney FC won today because they were simply the better team. Trying to have some wee cry about coefficient and then pinning it on their loss is idiocy.
So Australia has lost a Automatic ACL spot, wonder how that could be?

And again, Muscat, like many managers have done all over the world, prioritised what he seen as the bigger game. There's nothing wrong with that. His priority is to his own team and absolutely nobody else. So stop bleating about it.

Mark Rudan announced as Western United's inaugural manager.

Adeleaide United opt for Gertjan Verbeek as manager. Has managed in Netherlands & Germany. Last seen guiding FC Twente to relegation

Isaias leaving Adelaide United which is no surprise. Hiring Verbeek as manager not the best news. Must be a mate of the Dutch part owner. Roy Krishna leaving Wellington. No reports of where either player will end up yet.

Farewell Muskrat. Victory might actually become likeable now.

And they appoint Kurz. Nice

Stupidity of Adelaide United owner will come back to bite them. By the way there’s now a thread for the 19/20 season.
