should clubs free junior internationals who now cannot represent scotland as no longer members of the sjfa .i get the players are signed by clubs not grades .but taking away the players right to represent there country without consultation surely merits the players the right to stay in junior football if they choose .

Why can't you just ask the simple question without the undertone of resentment? Furthermore, when your undertone is pointed out to you, you then add even more after clearly stating you aren't bothered by the clubs moving to the eosfl?

What is your end game with this approach? If a player has signed with a club who have moved and doesn't want to fulfil the terms of his contract (that was agreed prior to the move) he would rightly have these discussions with his club.

The player is one example, that doesn't, as you seem to want to suggest, mean that there are lots more. If there are, they should also speak with their club.

The other nations aren’t “junior” international teams are they?

I suggest the EoS takes this away from the seething juniors too and represents Scotland in the home nation “non-league” tournaments. Perfect solution.

Maybe worth pointing out that Junior internationals aren't actually internationals...the players selected are representing the association rather than their country - "Junior Scotland" just trips off the tongue easier than Scottish Junior Football Association Select.

Doubt anyone's sufficiently desperate to play in a badly-organised biannual tournament that they'd rip up a no-doubt well remunerated contract either.

No, it's possible the odd one has been sounded out by another team and/or fallen out with someone at their current team and will desperately pull out any excuse to try and get away. They will rightly be told to shut up and get on with it.

(1) It's not an international cap. Players who are not Scots can play. Most recently Richie Barnard.

(2) It's a representative game for players registered to SJFA members, effectively a League Select

(3) When former Amateur 'Internationals' sign Junior, do they still get to turn out for that Select?
