East region reconstruction

Probably because you've put it in the wrong forum mate. This is the EoS board, not the Junior one. There already is an East Region reconstruction thread over there.

At a guess.

Why does this thread keep coming down....

People not untitled to the truth??

Thought this forum was used for stuff like that.

The conspiracy goes on.......

For the avoidance of doubt - the East of Scotland League is a senior league of 39 clubs, at tier 6 of the Scottish football pyramid under the Lowland League and alongside the South of Scotland League, although it recently had only 13. For next season there are 3 conferences of 13 clubs each. Thereafter the top 5s will form a new 16-team Premier Division whilst the remaining clubs, and any new clubs, will form an apparently undetermined set-up underneath. It contains clubs from Northumberland, Borders, Lothians, Fife, Central Scotland and Perthshire.

You are looking for the East Region Juniors. This is a junior league of 36 clubs, although it recently had 60. For next season there is a Superleague of 12 teams then below it a Premier North & a Premier South also of 12 teams each. If this endures bottom 2 are relegated/both champions promoted plus a 2-stage playoff for runners-up & 10th. It contains clubs from West Lothian, Fife, Perthshire and Tayside.

Explain how a club relegated ends up with 2 promotions (Whitburn)

Whilst some previously promoted teams don't?? (Pumpherston & Dundee NE)

Or have I misread previous threads?

Take this junior shite elsewhere

In my view it is still highly relevant given the clubs that for one reason or another "missed the boat" and will undoubtedly will transfer to the EOS in 2019/20.

Don't let Pyramid Pete catch you touting the opposition...

Who's he and what's the opposition?

Pyramid News

To be fair, it's less eye-bleeding than it used to be. He comes on here occasionally to talk about himself and his 'ideas' in the third person.

Pyramid News is highlighting the amazing fixture overload created by EoS `management` .. which has previously only operated a virtual `amateur` league, setting out an almost certainly unplayable 56-game season, not counting Scottish Cup replays or play-offs, for their 39 member clubs. Hopefully, the cups will be well shared out to reduce that ... by comparison Lowland are 46 games max plus cup replays or p-offs. It`s just like the west juniors  ... a big bad joke. Another likely burden is the 65 games EoS lost to the vagaries of our climate last season (multiply that by three this time) ... equivalent to 9 weeks fixtures.

The former publication`s website are all for the `pyramid` of course .... properly organised ... but don`t think there will be many smiles around in this league by the new year ... only upside is that they have an overwhelming vote to change this nonsense next time around ... maybe even with lots more new clubs !

Pumpherston declined a place in the Superleague, as did Bathgate who finished above Whitburn, therefore Whitburn took the place as the next highest team. Can't explain why Dundee NE weren't promoted though. Can anyone?

Ta. That site's not nearly as good as the Scottish Football Fixtures one.
