Football League 2018/19 season

Are channel 5 no longer showing the efl highlights?
Moved to Quest I believe.

Absolutely sterling display from Brentford today, this could be a very enjoyable season if they can keep this up. Felt very strange watching a team keeping the ball on the deck and playing fast and skilful football and actually supporting them - you don't get that supporting Raith!

The substitutes killed the momentum as they weren't up to the same level as the players they had replaced and also a shame not to keep a clean sheet. A very enjoyable way to spend a very hot Saturday afternoon.

No need to rub it in...

Looks like Ben Gibson is going to Burnley for £15 million and Adama Traore to Wolves for £18 million, add in Bamford being sold to Leeds and that’s arguably Boro’s three best players under Pulis all sold within a week. FFS.

Did really well to come from two behind to get a last minute draw yesterday, but the defending for the goals conceded was howling. Think goals could be really difficult to come by without Traore’s attacking impetus this year as well. Concerning stuff.

Boro were absolutely dreadful and should’ve been 4/5 down by the time we got one back. The midfield has absolutely no creativity or pace, so unless we sign I’d say at least 5 of the starting 11 before the window shuts we will be mid table.

Still felt fucking great when George stuck away a 97th minute equaliser though.

Gibson's move to Burnley has been completed. Dyche has got a reasonable deal at £15 million in the current market.

If Boro's Chairman is sells off their best assets, Pulis will go quickly if he does not get a fair amount of cash to spend.

We really shouldn't let yesterday's historic moment go by without suitably marking the occasion. 'Joey Barton's Fleetwood' lost 1-0 at home to Wimbledon in his first managerial game...GIRFUY ya low life scum. :thumsup2

It’s an awkward one though, as Pulis is only there until the end of this season, so if Gibson allows him to spend £30m on his type of players (defenders with long throws and 7 foot strikers with no talent) then the next manager will basically have to start completely from scratch again and sell them all to buy actual footballers.

Suppose that’s Gibson’s issue though as he hired him.
