14  weeks is an absolute joke, he should have got 2 years minimum, he  will be out in less than half of that.

Where is the deterrent here, that's just a slap on the wrist and certainly won't stop other idiots running onto the pitch?

14 weeks jail, a fine and a 10 year ban sounds like quite the deterrent to me.

There's simply no way he could have got 2 years in jail. Any lawyer could have such a sentence easily thrown out

WTF are they going to do? Take any pitch invaders out with a headshot?

Apparently the guns aren't actually for shooting the pitch invaders...

I wish people would just admit they made a stupid suggestion rather then try and justify it in this manner.

Normal service resumes as Brentford are once again defeated away from home. Never really looked like scoring once Sheffield United went ahead. To be fair to Sheffield though, they put in some defensive shift, can definitely see them going up.

4 points from the play-offs with Bristol City’s game in hand against Middlesbrough. All hail King Bruce!!

So 3 points for Bristol then.

He nearly got it, too. Hit the post. We suddenly have a chance of the top six...

When you beat Boro on Saturday, you’ll be 1 point off.

The home team never wins Villa-Boro matches!

Edit: just double-checked this to make sure I wasn't talking shite.

Last seven games at Boro:

Boro 0 wins, 1 draw, Villa 6 wins

Last seven games at Villa:

Villa 0 wins, 4 draws, Boro 3 wins.

Weird. We used to have a similar record against Wigan for a while.

31 days for scholes at oldham

Paul Scholes: Former Manchester United and England midfielder leaves role as Oldham Athletic manager http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/47570578

“It unfortunately became clear that I would not be able to operate as I intended and was led to believe prior to taking on the role,"

Thats quite a damning statement, maybe been made promises from the board that weren’t kept.
