Marlowe
Sad to hear of his resignation but he was sickened by the attitude of many Buffties who attended the last disastrous PUBLIC MEETING. Most of them did not know or appreciate that he was the man responsible for canvassing the local businesses who pay for their boards around the pitch, or don't really care. buffy1899
Buffs attendance stats would appear similar to most other sides at a similar level despite being a fairly large town.Support tends to comprise of a hail rain or shine core and then numbers will fluctuate re success, weather, time of year etc.Its fine to be forward thinking but it is what it is and clubs have to cut their cloth re wages they can pay and likes of ground development accordingly.Buffs average attendance down by 30%fae last season!! Carilly
Believe there is a buffs player being forced to leave to make cash up for the lack of crowds etc

With the Nay-sayers sniping away don't be surprised if Colin Boyd steps back, and Kilwinning is running out of individuals prepared to put both time and money into the Buffs. On the report of 142 attendance at a league game was that just for gate-payers or did it include Season Ticket holders? Without counting heads I judged the crowd to be around 180 to 200, still not sufficient to greatly improve the club's finances. When Irvine Meadow had their tussle with the Inland Revenue they had guys with buckets inside the ground soliciting donations to their rescue fund. Maybe Buffs could do the same. I worry that the guarantee of £100 for the Draw will leave a pittance for the Development Fund if the number of purchasers falls even further. At away games we always buy a draw ticket, strips of 5 or 10, and even when the crowds are substantial the payout is usually just £10, so the club gets a bigger share. pheasant plucker
Fairly simple economics my friend. It was an open secret that McKenzie and Fleming went to the highest bidder so wages for them and some others will be a very significant expenditure. It’s also a gamble for a club to budget on the likes of gate income.Prob with asking for more from core fans and sponsors is that you cross the line and risk pissing them off as they will probably relate to poor business management. We had more at district league games. Answers on a postcard, what's the solution .... ... Crowds are down in all teams, take Pollok v Glenafton last Saturday Scottish replay crowd was 781, 5 years ago that crowd would have been well over a thousand imo

Louis Mooie
Regarding McKenzie being on the transfer list does anyone know if this is from a playing point of view or financial reasons. Either way it’s a shame because the past few weeks his confidence seemed to be coming back after starting the season really well.
