On the east coast maybe in places like Fraserburgh but the highlanders have very easy accents to understand.People from the highlands and island are far friendlier and up for a laugh than folk from the central belt. A good chunk of people from Edinburgh are complete and utter dullards, weegies are generally alright but love the sound of their own voices and if you have met one loudmouth weegie you have met them all. People from Dundee and Fife are generally all absolute roasters, Aberdonians are mostly aggressive and have a massive chip on their shoulder.Overall I quite like Scottish people but prefer Germans. Scotland for being a very small country has so much variety in accents. My hometown Perths accent much like the actual place is very nondescript but 20 miles East and holy f**k! A whole different language, go another 40 miles north and you need an interpreter. The Glasgow accent can be very nasal and rough and much like the Scouse accent it grates me.
