Only thing is we beat somebody in the second round that I can't find and were beaten by Pollok in the third round and I can't find the result. I think Jim was also looking for the 3-1 scoreline, if he hasn't found it then pass it on. griffiti on the wall
What a difference getting your strongest side on the park and a wee bit of luck can make on match day .Yesterday saw the return of the bull at centre half and young anton at left back which allowed to us to build from firm foundations at the back .Bryson and McDonald patrolled the middle of the pitch superbly and protected the back four when required .The genius and creativity of Robert Maguire probed and opened up the spaces to allow Ferns and biscuit to exploit and at times destroy the back line of Neilston while the prowess power and finishing of young Mcmanus saw us see off our opponents. The wee bit of luck we often find alluding us came in the shape of an early disallowed Neilston goal and the early sending off of a Neilston player after a reckless challenge on Bryson both correct decisions imo but ones that sometimes go against you especially if you form has not been great in recent weeks. All credit to St Rochs we took this rub of the green and turned in probably our best performance of the season and left the fans in great spirits looking forward to another tough away game next week in the Scottish cup at Glasgow Perthshire.

griffiti on the wall
A fantastic performance today saw the candy advance into round 3 of the Scottish cup .For the second Saturday in a row firm foundations at the back allowed our teams to press and play and at times we just tore them apart and some of the football on that mini sized cabbage patch was a joy to behold .1st half goals from Bull and maguire had us in easy street and in the second half the candy took the shire apart and left them dead and buried that despite missing an early second half penalty to which young Ryan mcmanus responded to his miss by bagging a second half hat trick .The pick of the bunch tho from Eddie ferns a deft chip over there keeper as candy ran riot.A horrible place to go and a horrible team to play so delighted to be in the hat for round 3

griffiti on the wall
St Rochs 3 Benburb 4 Disappointing result and performance today but in the end the Bens worthy of the win .Bens took an early lead after an unchartistic mistake by our big keeper starky then went 2-0 up from a corner when there player headed unmarked into the net .Candy gave themselves a lifeline when ferns scored a wonder free kick from a very angle but minutes later again we lost a goal from another corner and again there man was unmarked and given a free header .Half time 1-3 Second half Benburb were comfortable and seeing out the game until with around 20 mins to go there keeper in a moment of madness decided to haul mcmanus down off the ball and received his marching orders and candy awarded a penalty which Daw dispatched with ease .It was now game on and candy then awarded a free kick about 30 yrs from goal saw ferns score another worldy from the set piece to level the match but instead to punishing on and using the man advantage and testing the outfield keeper candy retreated back into there shell and were punished again with 6 minutes to go .Candy keeper stark had been injured prior to the throw in and replaced by Griffiths who judged the throw in all wrong and again the Benburb player was left unmarked with an easy chance to head the visitors in front once again .Candy huffed and puffed in the final moments but could not find the final quality ball to create the chance of getting a draw .Full time 3-4The Bens left JMP with all 3 points and tbh were the better team for long periods of the match but the way the game unfolded it felt like we blew a great chance to win the game .Next Saturday sees us head to whitletts for what should be another entertaining match.MTC
