Blackburn United News 2018/19

Recommended Posts

2018 is the year we at Blackburn United celebrate our 40th year.  Our club has come a long way especially over the past 5 years. To be joining the East of Scotland league, the pyramid & seniors on this special year is also to be celebrated. We are proud of our history from Amateur to Junior & now the seniors.

The excitement is building for this coming season and the build continues at every part of our club as we look forward with positivity.

That's a nice graphic and explanation. I'm guessing someone took their inspiration from Wikipedia: I noticed recently that some (northerner no doubt) had stuck the North Caledonian League into the pyramid even though they are not at the party "not incorporated": https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scottish_football_league_system#Senior_football

Busy week at Blackburn United. Advertising posters done and out onto social media for matchday, pitchside, programme, season tickets and soon to be player sponsorship thanks to Ian McGinty.  To top off a great week, our latest signing and all the way from China will be revealed early next week.

As well as Burnie the Panda,   Blackburn have confirmed the signings of Darren Downie from Broxburn Athletic and Scott Wright from Arniston Rangers.   Ewan Herriot, who was with us previously on loan from Berwick Rangers, has signed a permanent deal.

You going to start a breeding programme? Sure Paisley Panda would be keen...

As good a chance of football mascot suits procreating offspring as Edinburgh Zoo's pandas, tbh.

Well done to all the PotY winners, fully deserved.

I see we are the only West Lothian club to enter the U20 league this season, a great opportunity to establish ourselves at that level and become a leading club in the area for that age group,  looking forward to it.

Very good progression, they seem to be getting things right from the very start which will only benefit the club, who is taking the 20s

Not entirely sure yet, I know they had several options they were looking at.
