West Region League 2 2018/19

Very disappointed with our result today. Missed a penalty after 5 minutes. Shug Kerr scored a wonderful equaliser following a good Ashfield opener but once again we didn't' come out for the 2nd half and lost yesterday another cheap goal with 12 to go.  Little between the teams but, as always, if you don't take your chances.....

Ffs. Just seen a video of the new Newmains home kit. Sponsored by local Indian restaurant and names of dishes on back like players name.

Big tandoori scores a cracker.  Ha ha

Excellent idea

Are you not sponsored by funeral directors?! Dread to think what services you could advertise!

Saltcoats 3 Lanark 6

Comfortable win, clouded somewhat by losing ,more cheap goals and missing another penalty. ( We did convert another later in the game)

 .

Should have won by a much bigger margin. Missed a good few chances, had a stonewall Penalty not given ( one of THE worst decisions I have seen in many a long day) and a goal disallowed for offside which was dubious.  Missing 3 of our better players today and our keeper was not fit but took the field.

Referee Blair Comerford was woeful  today. Booked umpteen players and there was not a bad tackle in the game. Both teams bemused by his performance.

First time to Saltcoats. Excellent Killie pie.

What a start to The Gow v VoC. 1 down in 2 mins, 3 down in 15 mins. Gow make it 3.3 in 35 mins. First half ends 3.3. Thought The Gow were going to come away with a point a least but VoC dug deep and scored near the end to take all three points.

Well done VoC and look forward to return match.

Annbank 0 Lanark 5

Comprehensive win for Lanark today. Could have scored quite a few more, including 2 that seemed to be over the line but were not given. This said, our keeper made some good saves today to thwart our enthusiastic opponents.

Missed the first 25 minutes and first 2 goals due to traffic issues and not being familiar with the venue. Liked the setting.

Good result.

Was that the traffic at canderside toll? We got stuck in that for a while.

The Gow threw away a 2 lead to draw 2.2 at home to Johnstone.

Johnstone looked stronger at the end and probably deserved the point although The Gow should have had the game won from the first half.

;) Good to see the Gow having a good start to this season after a very poor campaign last year, looking forward to Wednesday, enjoyed the game up at Shotts, penalty shoot-out in the dark!Cannae beat it, well done the Lukester, tidy penalty. Mon the Gow

Stronger team this year and hopefully go on a winning streak in this league which can only help the boys confidence after last year.

No. I ignored the road closed at Glespin sign as I thought I had been told it didn't apply at the weekend plus my sat nav didn't show it!!  I hate missing the first minute of a game, far less 25 and never leave before the end no matter how poorly we are playing
