DA Baracus
They said last night on MOTD that if it was still 2 points for a win then Liverpool would have won the league. Of course the last time they did win the league it was 2 points for a win, but things have moved on in the intervening decades.
nsr
If I had compromising photos of Bill Gates, Motherwell would have won the leagues. ALL OF THEM.

Liverpool have won it 6 times since.

Derry Alli
Deserved for Houghton after how he set Brighton up yesterday alone.
vikingTON
Houghton did a terrible job this season and they were very fortunate to stay up. He also spunked a lot of money on players in the summer and they've only gone backwards - only a moron would hand over the cheque book to him again this summer. He's a good Championship-level manager but the wails of protest whenever he gets emptied by a club that has got a shred of ambition to do better than that are bizarre. TheScarf
The Liverpool 5 year cycle is becoming an actual thing. Presumably the next time they challenge will be the 2023/2024 season.

accies1874
He did a good job getting promoted and keeping them there, but as VT said, they brought in a load of players to go absolutely nowhere - probably even regressed.Apparently a lot of those players were good signings too, and he's not managed to get anything out of most of them. The fans of certain clubs are just expected to shut up and be happy with what they're given and not expect any progression. Brighton want to go beyond their current standing and don't believe Hughton is the man to do that, and he's not really shown anything to suggest he is, either. He'll get a Championship job no problem and probably do well with them.

I’m inclined to feel that this team will be there for years to come but if Man City post 100 odd points again I’m not convinced that can be challenged.
