Let's face it. It's only really the domestic cups where Liverpool have really underperformed this season. Are people really going to be looking at a team with 90+ points in the league and going out in the semi finals to Barca or potentially losing a final against what will clearly be a very good side, and say "oh well, that's not good enough" and be serious about it?

yes people will say it, english spice boys will say things like "bottled it" etc.

Big english teams tend to f**k off the domestic cups in favour of CL places in the league or the CL itself, city funnily enough are probably the only team with a big enough squad of good players that can target the cups as well as the league and europe

Do the younger generation of Man U fans even see Lolverpool as serious rivals?

Give it a few more years with Woodward and they'll be calling Everton abd and other mid table jobbers their rivals, united are honking the now and they'll struggle to shift most of the shite

I can see Man Utd getting something tonight unfortunately. They have done the square root of f**k all this season so it would not surprise me in the slightest if they fluked a result at the worst possible time

Can’t see past a City win, but Man Utd need to get a lot of their fans back on side after that shit-show at Everton the other day, but if Pogba and Rashford play to their best I could see them taking goals off of City.

Diamond nailed it above :)

I didn’t say that he’d spent less than Man City last summer. I think the rest has been clearly answered already. It’s time to let it go and accept that Liverpool are back :)

And if you read my post properly you’ll see that I mentioned the good work done before him. He does deserve credit for giving them all a chance initially, developing them and lots were then sold on for very good money.

While not near Man City levels he certainly spent big  last summer but by god he spent it well :). No trophy’s yet but on the 21st April he is potentially 6, and hence why the Lolverpool squad have been in hiding for months, games away from winning the League and European Cup :)

If he wins neither it has still been a fantastic season. I’ve seen various League Cup / FA Cup wins and while nice, this has been the best season since the late 80s. Hopefully a trophy or 2 will follow :)

United XI vs City: De Gea, Darmian, Young, Shaw, Lindelof, Smalling, Fred, Pereira, Pogba, Lingard, Rashford.

Matic, Sanchez, Mata, Martial and Lukaku among the substitutes. McTominay not in the squad.
