buchan30
What has happened to city this year? They were amazjng, unstoppable at times. But this year they have been so inconsistent. Are they burnt out? Or has every just watched the amazon prime documentary and figured out how to beat them [emoji2]
Co.Down Hibee
The only thing that could stop liverpool winning the league now is van diijk getting injured, they look the complete package with him.

True but I think they'd miss van diijk more in all honesty, big gap in quality between him and the rest of the liverpool defence imo.
jamamafegan
Actually think this could be Liverpool’s year. Spurs are also in there as well. Not sure who I’d like to see win it, Spurs haven’t won it for a long long time but seeing Andy Robertson holding the trophy above his head would be glorious for him and inspirational for Scottish football.

Mastermind
What a title race we have on our hands now. Thought City were going to run away with it this season but Liverpool in a fantastic position -

It’s a very poor league now tbh. City are seen as Liverpool’s main challengers but have zero European pedigree. Klopp has bought the league. Pure and simple but it’s the English club way.

The squad Pep Guardiola has is bigger and better and for Klopp to tale the title off them would be a bit of a shock for me. The game between the two next month is enormous now. -
Ira Gaines
Liverpool spent substantially more this season than City did. And the sum total of their side is absolutely massive. They're not some sort of underdog here. With the amount of money they've spent on that side, they SHOULD be challenging.
trgf
Spurs being ahead of Man City is a lot more impressive. Pochettino can't go and get the most expensive defender in the world and the most expensive keeper in the world. He spent nothing at all in the summer
Barry Ferguson's Hat
Liverpool winning the league would be a massive upset. Not quite Leicester City levels, but huge nonetheless.

Depends where the starting point is, I guess. Liverpool team in 2010... Manchester City team in 2010... Manchester United team in 2010... It's safe to say Liverpool have had a lot more work to do to get to the position they are in now, bearing in mind they nearly went into administration in that year. They were 24 hours away from being bankrupt. They are doing fine as a club now in the right hands, unlike some other owners.

Behave. The first 3 have been poor for years. Boro went straight back down the last time they came up and it’s an awful away day.

Don’t think it is at all the pace at the top is frightening. Liverpool have taken 51 points out of 57 and yet if Spurs has beaten them at Wembley they’d be level. 4 teams through to the last 16 of the Champions League and that doesn’t include a decent Chelsea and rejuvenated Arsenal. Klopp was in profit after his first 5 transfer windows. Granted he spent big in the summer but he’s built this squad very wisely with a lot of bargains in there.
