The Master
Just now, HibsFan said: Hang on, isn't it to overturn when they get it wrong? I edited my post to make it clearer. That penalty decision still required the referee on the pitch to make the decision. The use of VAR didn’t change his interpretation of the rules.

Blame the referee for making the wrong decision. 1 minute ago, The Master said: It’s not VAR per se though, is it? The referee still gave the decision based on what he saw. VAR only works if the referees are capable of getting it right. This in itself is another flaw of VAR though - fundamentally the decisions are still being made by human beings, unlike something like the goal-line technology.
Lex
EPL teams looking great this year, expect one of them to win it now. -
Ira Gaines
That is an incredible result. PSG were dog meat and regardless of whether it was a penalty or not, they absolutely deserve to be out of this tournament.
DeeTillEhDeh
Never a penalty - personally can't stand Man Utd but this was win-win for me as I despise PSG even more.

Jaggy Snake
It's not an outrageous decision for the penalty, just a tough one on PSG. I think Kimpembe would have been have been well aware of where his arm was and happy to use it to block the ball but, even if it wasn't intentional, his arm would have been in that area anyway. The excessive slow-mo doesn't help though, as it makes Kimpembe's glance over his shoulder seem more like a careful look making his decision. PSG have to look at themselves first anyway. If they can't beat Man Utd at home they're hardly deserve to go far in the competition. Edited March 6, 2019 by Jaggy Snake
