Can't beat them apparently. I'm sure they weren't making up complete shite to detract from Liverpool losing or anything like that.

I wouldn't have said Porto or Roma were stronger than Napoli and PSG, but each to their own.

For Gerrard to slip and hand the title to their nearest challenger was a bit of bad luck, but there’s definitely something more there as a club of that size should have won it more recently than they have. Liverpool haven't been remotely good enough to have a won a league - certainly in the PL era. They only side that were in the vicinity of being good enough was the 2009ish side that had a spine of Reina, Carragher, Alonso, Mascherano, Gerrard & Torres.

They only side that were in the vicinity of being good enough was the 2009ish side that had a spine of Reina, Carragher, Alonso, Mascherano, Gerrard & Torres. Liverpool have finished 2nd on 3 occasions in the PL era. 2001-02 off the back of the treble winning season with Phil Thompson in temporary charge for much of it. 2005-06 off the back of the Champions League win they were excellent but finished 3rd on 80+ points. 2008-09 they had to drop 14 points behind to come back into it without the pressure but fell short. Albeit with 86 points. 1996-97 led for a long time but fell away around Easter time and finished 4th. 1995-96 finished 3rd. I’d argue they were the best team that season but a poor November cost them badly. The closest was 2013-14.
paul-r-cfc
Roma back in front almost immediately after CSKA go down to ten men. Good result if it stays like this that should be enough to see Roma through if they beat Plzn in the final game (assuming they'll take nothing off Real)

lichtie23
Decent opening 10 minutes in Turin. Juve the more dangerous of the sides but United look like they could cause problems on the break
