Elixir
If Rangers can stay relatively banter free throughout the season, they'll finish 2nd. If we can improve our pathetic away form, then 3rd is actually a real possibility considering we are likely to still be near-unbeatable at Tynecastle Park. Aberdeen/Hibs - who cares, really? Swello
1 hour ago, Deja vu said: 3 consecutive seasons in the bottom 3 and staying up kinda luck. Not to be confused with the Dun Utd luck in not being promoted, to save them face from going straight back down. I think that over a 38 game season, luck is a *very* small factor - ie - teams pretty much always get what they deserve in terms of league position. Was any team in a "false" position either good or bad due to luck last season - nah. Accies aren't lucky - they are just dogged b*****ds. ATLIS
Celtic - Cruise to it as usual Rangers - Improved but still far off it Hibs - Continue their strong 2018 form Aberdeen - Fall to bits despite a strong start to the season Motherwell - Improve on the Cup Finals and consolidate a strong league finish St Johnstone - A few decent signings with a decent manager Kilmarnock - Will struggle to replicate last seasons one off Livingston - Surprise a few with a physical style of play and a few good signings Hearts - Any team signing three keepers seriously needs looked at Dundee - Shite manager and shite city. We'll do them the same way we did United. Hamilton - to keep Dundee United down yet again as Csaba is finally sacked with another meltdown St Mirren - Stubbs gone by Xmas and Goodwin to take over and take St Mirren down, struggling to cope with the loss of Ross and Morgan
Guest Bob Mahelp
I think Aberdeen will surprise this season. Our defence and midfield look much stronger and I think we're a decent striker away from having the best squad at Pittodrie under McInnes. Hibs are losing their 3 best midfielders, have a sieve for a defence, and yet some people still think they have a better team than Aberdeen. Lol.

G-MAN
Predictions for Celtic to run away with the league is bizarre. Their squad is the same as last season more or less. AFC never got going all season with a number of average performances but still finished ONLY 9 Pts behind. Can really see a challenge from someone this season. Why not 2 or 3 teams ???
Im_Rodger
If Celtic play Hendry and Scott Sinclair all season they will not shag the league.

You aint wrong about our defence, but think our midfield might be about to improve. Regardless, our tactic is simply to outscore the opposition, Hibs are about entertainment Plus, we all expect Aberdeen to continue to be Celtcs bitch and will probably shit the bed against Sevco

Let's just clear things up - Celtic will skullfuck the league (yet again) and there will be no 'challenge' or 'putting the pressure on'. Why not 2 or 3 teams ???Not sure I agree. Whilst from a performance perspective we never really got going I don’t think you can realistically expect us to do any better results wise against teams from maybe 6th downwards. It’s yet to be seen how we will do in the bigger games. I’d be surprised if we find consistency there based on current squad but yet to be seen.Celtic probably underperformed last season and still won it at a canter.
Jack Bauer
I think the SPL appears to look tougher than by ever before to predict. I am unsure that Celtic have taken the threat from Aberdeen and Rangers as serious this season. Also having watched some chaotic defending against Rosenberg last night I believe that their defence could be a major problem for them this season if they don't resolve this issue. However, Aberdeen....The team that puffs its chest before it plays the old firm - particularly Rangers - and tends to end up on the Canvas by half time ~(with the exeption of the Grand finale 2018 at Parkhead) They lost Adam Rooney to Salford FFS!! Rangers...They are the magical mystery box which everyone appears to want to see what happens when it opens. The managers is more of a Magicians Apprentice (no pun intended boys) I am just very unsure how Gerrard will react if things get difficult for him. The media love him but hey, we all remember other managers they loved only to wait around like a KGB assassin for the weak moment to murder the person. The players look a mixed bag. Im unsure the standard particularly if Steve G reckons Kyle Lafferty would be an improvement. Hibernian...Roll up Roll Up..The Circus is in town, Score a goal and they score more, but always offer chances to any opposition at any level. They were the team to watch on entertaiment value alone last season (and the manager was part of that love him or hate him) I remain uncertain they will get the breaks they got last season. This season could be tougher . Hearts .. In my opinion the dullest team in the league - with the exception of an occasional lighting bolt (4-0) - they have the dullest manager and certainly the most arrogant one. Mid table dullness again this season with little spark now and then. Kilmarnock. Can Steve Clarke continue to push his miracle forward and get Kilmarnock into Europe. A tough ask. What would happen if they fall into a slump? How would the fans and board react. I like Steve Clarke and hope that he can continue the form but I just have a few doubts. Motherwell... Another team who can hold their own on their day and certainly in the Cup can be very intimidating to play against. Can Steven Robinson transform the cup form of last season into consistent league form? St.johnstone They appear to have reached "Peak Perth" in my opinrion. The signing of Tony Watt is a gamble. He had immense talent as a youngster, but it went to his head and it appears its still in his head.. I think they are going to struggle this year. Dundee.. Wee Neil wears his heart on his sleeve, but this I think doesn't always do him, his players or his team any favours. However he kept them up when a bottom two finish looked a near certainty last season, Hamilton Accies.. Come on, every pundit and his dog will be predicting relagation or a play off finish for them, but year on year they manage to stay up. Can they do it again?? Who am I to say they cannot. St.Mirren.. They were great in the Championship and were very worthy winners, I am very unsure that Alan Stubbs is the right fit as manager. Not too many inspiring signings. It will be difficult for them but if they display the same hunger and unity as they did in the Championship then I see no reason why they cannot emulate Hamilton and stay up. Livingston,, They lost big Hoppy - did he ever get a dream club?? - and that is going to be felt quite badly. They really were the impossible team over the past two seasons .. Can they be the impossible team once more? I Predict 1st Celtic 2nd Rangers 3rd Aberdeen 4th Kilmarnock 5th Hibernian 6th Motherwell 7th Hearts 8th St.Mirren 9th Dundee 10th Hamilton (again!!) 11th St.Johnstone 12th Livingston Good luck to everyone's teams. YassinMoutaouakil
Celtic were dropping points left right and centre and were 45 minutes away from Graeme Murty's Rangers closing the gap to 3 points in the middle of March. Hardly a canter.

They won't be as bad as that this season, so someones going to have to be good enough to gain at least 15 points.
