Eyemouth have been deducted 3pts, apparently for fielding a triallist last registered abroad without obtaining international clearance.

So they need 2pts from their last 5 games:

Burntisland (H)
Dalkeith (H)
Haddington (H)
Burntisland (A)
Bonnyrigg (A)

to avoid breaking their own 2004-05 EOSL record of finishing on -1pt.

It would appear Fort William (currently -7pts) have "worst in Scotland" sown-up, tbf.

Bonnyrigg, away, should get them on to positive points.

Conference B

Dundonald Bluebell v. Haddington Athletic

Eyemouth United v. Burntisland Shipyard

Haddington are the lowest placed club with hopes of a Top 5/6 finish in the Conference. They're going to be looking for an upset to keep them in contention.

Does it count as your first point(s) if you go from a negative points tally to zero? Eyemouth's objective won't change following their points deduction, get their first win or draw of the season.

No movement but Burntisland can picture going at least place higher before the season ends.

Dunipace and Tynecastle up against top 5 teams so unlikely to get points, the Shippy have Eyemouth plus Haddington and LTHV to gain 5 points, so could even be two places.

Looking increasingly challenging for Haddington now.

They'd be favourites to win their next 2 games - against Burntisland and Eyemouth - but they then finish with Crossgates home-n-away plus Sauchie. Would need to hit a rich vein of form.

Conference B

Eyemouth United v. Dalkeith Thistle
Haddington Athletic v. Burntisland Shipyard
Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale v. Bo'ness United
Tranent Juniors v. Sauchie Juniors
Tynecastle v. Dundonald Bluebell

Bonnyrigg tied up the Conference with last night's win against Dunipace. Still plenty to play for as there's real competition for Top 5/6 finishes in the conference.

Conference B

Eyemouth United 1-2 Dalkeith Thistle
Haddington Athletic 5-0 Burntisland Shipyard
Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale 0-2 Bo'ness United
Tranent Juniors 1-0 Sauchie Juniors
Tynecastle 1-3 Dundonald Bluebell

Bo'ness and Dundonald both seal their spots in the EoS Premier with their away wins.

Dalkeith rise to 6th place thanks to a close game against Eyemouth. They will be happy with the result, but may regret not taking advantage of the bottom team to improve their goal difference.

Still not much movement for the top 5 and 6 places with 5 teams continuing to battle it out. Here are their remaining fixtures:

Saturday 6th April
Eyemouth v Haddington
LTHV v Tranent
Sauchie v Burntisland

Tuesday 9th April
Sauchie v Dunipace

Wednesday 10th April
Bonnyrigg v LTHV

Saturday 13th April
Haddington v Crossgates
Tranent v LTHV

Tuesday 16th April
Bo'ness v Crossgates

Saturday 20th April
Burntisland v LTHV
Crossgates v Dalkeith
Haddington v Sauchie

Tuesday 23rd April
Bo'ness v Dalkeith

Saturday 27th April
Crossgates v Haddington
Dalkeith v Bo'ness
LTHV v Sauchie

Those in the race also know that 35pts... or 34pts with a GD better than -10... will be enough for best 6th place and a guaranteed spot in the new EOS Premier Division regardless of LL goings-on.

Whoever you support, I think we must all agree that Conference B has been the most interesting of the three.  Okay, Bonnyrigg had it sewn up early but for there still to be five teams chasing one guaranteed spot says a lot.  As said earlier, the likelihood of the sixth placed team making it too is adding to the end of season excitement.

Been Conference C for me - 4 genuine contenders for the title -  4/5 teams battling for 5th and any one from 3 to finish bottom.   Plus plenty of good football and tight results.

All about opinions though
