bravehearts dad
Arniston were caught cold and unprepared that day.

Tranent appear to be almost as inconsistent as Broxburn - you never know what you will get. A couple of seasons ago they wine both East Region cups but couldn’t get promoted into the Super League that season

lowenan
This conference looks by far the toughest to make the top five in. Bet the first team that misses out (place 6 or possibly 7) will be a team that has a fair number of scalps on their belt during the run of the season.
Deanburn Dave
I think the BU's played and thrashed Lothian Thistle 5-0 when they looked to be missing key players. They will surely improve as the season goes on.
Jambo'ness
League fixtures in the Conference today and 3 games immediately take the eye. Of course bias says that Crossgates v Bo'ness could be a cracker, certainly won't be like last week. Haddington v Dundonald looks a bit tasty, with Bluebell looking to build up their recent momentum after a shaky start. Their draw at Bonnyrigg was a fine result and they will hope to win this one, though the Hi-Hi may have other thoughts. The third interesting match is Sauchie v Tranent. On paper, a banker home win but no way are the Belters going to be as poor as their 8 goal thumping at home to Bonnyrigg would suggest.
Bundesliga Boy
Looking forward to taking in Dalkeith v Dunipace - should be a decent game.
Belter1
3-1 tranent. Game of 2 half’s. Sauchie better the first half going in 1-0. Tranent better the 2nd half. Good 3 points for tranent considering the injuries we have at the moment.

Dalkeith 3 - Dunipace 0 Utterly bodied by Thistle, Dalkeith should have been out of sight at half time but a combination of one good save, hitting the woodwork twice and the Thistle 9 having a stinker meant it was level at the tinned pineapples. Second half and Thistle finally made good on their domination. Not a single shot on target from Pace that I can recall in an abject performance. Couldn’t agree more - should have been over by half time. Thought Dunipace number 6 had a decent game but there was only ever one team in it sadly.

rigano
Not a great start by lthv who played a lot of long balls v tynecastle on Saturday and we're fortunate to equalise late on. Tynecastle looked much improved from last season but oddly started time wasting with 20 minutes to go.
Belter1
Another derby for tranent this week again against haddington. Great result last week in the league with the amount of players missing. Eck christie Lloyd fiddler Kayno Ryan McCallumShaun Rutherford Chris grayStill a few missing this week and expect a totally different game this time around.
drs
So.….LTHV probably wont be challenging for a top 5 position this season, whats happened since last season - an influx of better teams or the squad has moved backwards? Are we set to see the top 6 at the moment fight it out for moving into the EOS top flight for next season or will the likes of Tynecastle be able to push their way into the reckoning? Whilst down at the bottom it sadly looks like Dunipace, Eyemouth and Shipyard will be fighting to avoid the wooden spoon and maybe looking to drag LTHV into that battle. Ginaro
I was about to say, good result for Shippy to get points on the board after playing the toughest teams in the league. Looking at Eyemouth's results I highly doubt they are avoiding the wooden spoon, the fight will be to avoid 11/12th in case there's a tier 7 First Division and the bottom two go to tier 8.

Wouldn't say so, the top 3 and the bottom 3 may stay as they are, which leaves the other 7 fighting for 2 spots. Very early days though
Deanburn Dave
The BU will be in the top 5. We have a good keeper, a solid (but slow) back four and experienced defensive midfielder players like Michael Gemmell and "Dougie" Donnelly sitting in front of the back four. A hard and physical side to break down.Up top we are not great at the moment and we rely on our big defenders getting goals from set pieces. Hopefully the BU strikers could hit some consistent good goalscoring form and we could finish nearer the top.
