A win for Bonnyrigg this weekend can win them the title if Tranent fail to win at crossgates

If you're talking mathematically... only if Bo'ness don't also beat Sauchie.

BU can still reach 58pts - and Bonnyrigg would move onto 58pts by beating Dundonald.

Bo'ness United v. Sauchie Juniors
Burntisland Shipyard v. Dalkeith Thistle
Crossgates Primrose v. Tranent Juniors
Dundonald Bluebell v. Bonnyrigg Rose Athletic
Dunipace v. Haddington Athletic

King Cup: Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale
Idle: Eyemouth United, Tynecastle

Bonnyrigg can be the first team to win their Conference if they win and results at Crossgates and Bo'ness go their way.

Just to take the spotlight slightly off the Rose, the fact that the top 6 are all playing amongst themselves should make it a cracker of a day.  Dalkeith could benefit with a win at Shippy and Primrose & Sauchie drop points.

That’s a great result for Burntisland, notice LTHV aren’t have the same back log of games this year due to pitch causing games to be postponed. Have they done something to improve their pitch or just been luckier with this years weather?
no longer sharing with Tynecastle who are now playing out of Meggetland with Boroughmuir RFC.

For Burntisland there's two games against Eyemouth still to play so they have a great chance of moving up to 11th, or even 10th if they manage to get something from Haddington or LTHV who they've drawn and won against this season.

Next Saturday is Eyemouth v Burntisland. With the week off Eyemouth probably saw that as their best chance for their first point(s) of the season. Should be an interesting game.

Been a hard season for these type of clubs having to match up to the former East Junior Super-league clubs and they’re no doubt looking forward to the end of the season. I have to applaud all the former EOS teams at the bottom of the conferences as they put the greater good of the EOS ahead of their own interests. I’m sure they’ll be happier once the East is sorted as one league and everyone finds their level, the conference idea for this season and possibly next (tier7) is a great way to do it quickly without anyone losing face.

Agreed.  I think a few are looking forward to the end of Conferences and back to traditional divisions so they play a higher perentage of their games against clubs of the same standard.

Eyemouth are currently manager less from what’ve heard yesterday, so will be interesting right enough

I get the impression many small teams have enjoyed their trips to the "big" sides and also having them visit... many of them they would never have had the opportunity to play competitively at places like Bo'ness, Linlithgow, Bonnyrigg, Tranent, Musselburgh, etc. until now (short of a Scottish Cup tie for those lucky enough). Same with Kelty last season. It will now be possible in cup-ties but the conference setup has given a bit extra to kick off.

It has also brought some good travelling supports: outside of derbies, plus Gretna until recently, there hasn't been much tradition of away supports in the southern pyramid (though EK are building up).

It has been clouded when hidings have been dished out, but with an exception of Eyemouth most have put a stop to that as the season progressed.

Also been a few shocks: Leith drawing both with Newtongrange, LTHV winning at Dundonald and Sauchie (and beating Camelon in the cup), Tynecastle 0-0 Bo'ness, Linlithgow 3-3 Ormiston, Jeanfield 3-3 Stirling Uni EOS, Penicuik 4-4 Coldstream (4-5p in cup).

I think remaining interest centres on whether hopes of perhaps 3 making new Premier Division "come off".

In Conference B, Lothian Thistle have greatly improved results as season has gone on and Bo'ness still have to visit in what could be a cracker.  As for Tynecastle, their 11 men behind the ball at Meggetland v Bo'ness won them a point but would gain no new followers.  Stuffy in the extreme would be a good description.

Eyemouth have been deducted 3pts, apparently for fielding a triallist last registered abroad without obtaining international clearance.

https://www.eosfl.com/item.php?pg=league&pd=1049&it=167

So they need 2pts from their last 5 games:

Burntisland (H)
Dalkeith (H)
Haddington (H)
Burntisland (A)
Bonnyrigg (A)

to avoid breaking their own 2004-05 EOSL record of finishing on -1pt.

It would appear Fort William (currently -7pts) have "worst in Scotland" sown-up, tbf.
