HibeeJibee
Bonnyrigg win 3-0 at Tynecastle to move 13pts clear of Dundonald with 7 games left: as the conference title races turns into something of a procession. On paper this could be all over before February is out. However it's musical chairs below and I append "points per game" making interesting reading for the 7 clubs chasing the 3/4 other slots. 3 P15 Bo'ness 31pts 2.07 ppg 4 P14 Tranent 29pts 2.08 ppg 5 P17 Crossgates 28pts 1.65 ppg ======================= 6 P17 Dalkeith 27pts 1.59 ppg -------------------------------------- 7 P16 LTHV 25pts 1.57 ppg 8 P16 Sauchie 24pts 1.50 ppg 9 P15 Haddington 20pts 1.34 pgg
Halfwit8
Good win for the Belters the day 4-1 with goals from Whitson,Berry,Gray and Miller. Puts us in a good position to finish in the top 5.

Teams from Crossgates down to Haddington are competing for 5th place come end of season.
baker2
What has happened to sauchie?? Surprised they are that far down likewise Lothian thistle!

I agree the slow progress of Sauchie is a surprise but Lothian had a bad start due to a reducing budget meaning the top players left. When Tynecastle left Saughton, the council then doubled the rent for Lothian!

HibeeJibee
Big win for Sauchie while others drew and Crossgates couldn't hold Bonnyrigg. Impossible to call from Crossgates down to LTHV, and even Haddington aren't out of it. Edited February 16, 2019 by HibeeJibee
Jambo'ness
I'm bound to say it but Saturday's game at Haddington is a biggie. A win for Bo'ness puts them level with Dundonald, who have a spare day and still with a game in hand. A win for Haddington catapults them right into the mix and still with games in hand.
calmac25
I make that 17 wins in a row now dating back to going out the Scottish cup in September. What was EK record from a couple of years ago?Tranent are able to get to 59 points if they win all their games, so a minimum of 8 points from the last 6 games will secure the title. 3 of these are against Dunipace, Shippy and Eyemouth so looks highly likely conference B will be tied up soon.Out of the teams challenging at the top of the other conferences I think that I'd be most concerned about Broxburn as they are a stuffy side and I think Bonnyrigg have a poor recent record there.

This was in the same season EK got 30 (16-17)

HibeeJibee
Bonnyrigg could win this in a fortnight if they prevail at nearest pursuers Dundonald, and Tranent and Bo'ness drop points. Failing that their next opportunity would come in 3 weeks at home to LTHV. This conference seems to have belatedly caught-up with the others, in now having a discernible top 4. Vital win for Crossgates today, LTHV once again ground out an away draw at a rival side in the shape of Dalkeith, Sauchie did the business at Eyemouth while Haddington collapsed. Even allowing for their games-in-hand Haddington are now hanging on a bit in the race for top 5 or 6 but beyond that it remains impossible to call, especially given the number of "head-to-heads" these 5-6 sides still have to play:Sat 09 Mar ... Crossgates v Tranent Sat 16 Mar ... Haddington v Crossgates Sat 30 Mar ... Tranent v Sauchie Sat 06 Apr ... LTHV v Tranent Sat 13 Apr ... Tranent v LTHV Sat 20 Apr ... FairWeatherFan
Only the one Conference game today: Eyemouth United v Tranent Juniors Tranent have played the fewest amount of games in the conference. While they will be eyeing a 2nd place finish by winning their games in hand. Everyone else chasing next year's EoS Premier will be hoping Eyemouth can play spoiler and pick up their first point(s) of the season.
FairWeatherFan
Eyemouth United 0-6 Tranent Juniors While there is no movement in league positions, Tranent now have the 2nd best Goal Difference in the Conference.
