Slaverysam
While failing to play last week cannot be excused it's positive to see them underway again, and going down 5-0 isn't anything like as bad as previous results v Bo'ness, Dunbar, HoB, etc. Quick turnaround for Newtongrange who've swapped their midweek game with Leith to New Victoria Park and brought it forward to Tuesday night, so 2 games in 3 days for them, almost unheard of at this level. Leith themselves come in off an 8-0 hammering at Penicuik yesterday. Tweedmouth visit Penicuik on Wednesday.Your quick to judge, presume you know all the facts then?
HibeeJibee
Fair point, poor phrasing which I've adjusted, you know what I was trying to say.
HibeeJibee
Penicuik 9-0 Tweedmouth Comfortable, untroubled home win. Visitors played doggedly for spells, never capitulating. Conceded couple as HT approached then a few as FT beckoned. Nice ground and great programme.
TheBigTFollower1911
Lloyd fiddler signs for Dunbar Utd from Tranent.Cracking young player and will be missed by all at Tranent .
Casey Jones
For the benefit of cookieboy. Musselburgh played their best match of the season yesterday. That might be hard to believe, especially given that Penicuik won 5-0. But, let there be no doubt, it was not a poor day at the office for the home team. Penicuik have to be given a huge bit of credit. Although Musselburgh’s play was magnificent, currently they are not a match for the Cookie!
cookieboy
Don’t know if that was your best performance of the season or not as I’ve only seen both of our games My opinion of Mussey was decent middle to front poor at the back and yes at the moment we are better than you but after your troubles at the end of last season you will definitely finish in the top five
Midnight Runner
Hoping to see a decent crowd descend on Peebles on Saturday, with absence of senior games great chance to take in local derby v Penicuik, looking at the forecast I predict Stand tickets will be at a premium! Here’s hoping for cracking game as Peebles home form been excellent recently.
RobM
After the postponement at Hill of Beath caught Leith v EK yesterday. Leith deserve huge credit pushing EK all the way, tougher game than the start of the season for The Burgh when we visit there I'd think.
drs
Penicuik manager off to Berwick, big blow for the conference favourites.
RobM
Who's going there then? Decent money if the manager's on the same scale as the players by all accounts. Few moving from Penicuik to Berwick I'd imagine.
calmac25
It's a strange one as if Robbie horn didn't manage to make a go of it Berwick it's funny to go with someone who has achieved less at junior level.Harvey is clearly ambitious though!
PeeblesR
Fortunes changing at Arniston? Hearing they were unlucky not to walk away with all 3 points yesterday.
RobM
Glad to see that Tweedmouth seem to be through the worst and fulfilled their fixture against Leith at the weekend. Looking forward to the trip down there and the home game against them this weekend. No embarrassment is Sunday's result either, Leith are a decent side.
GNU_Linux
Very respectable result for Tweedmouth going down 1-0 away at Musselburgh. 94th minute for Mussy.
HibeeJibee
Looking at the table this conference seems to have 4 title contenders... 4pts between them if game-in-hand got won... with Dunbar and Leith battling for 5th unless Coldstream or Peebles can catch-up. Accordingly big win for Dunbar v Leith today - moving 1pt above them having played 1 game more.

RobM
Think the boy in the middle asking for Matti to be carded really needs to take a look at himself along with the keeper.

Physio came on, but did nothing other than look down at the lad. Keeper got up, and after a minute, turned towards the net and smiled at the supporters who were giving him deserved grief. He dived, and though Matti got booked; other refs may have sent him off. Edited October 28, 2018 by Casey Jones
