HibeeJibee
Coldstream meanwhile seem to be a very Jekyll & Hyde team. In recent months they've beaten Penicuik, Dunbar (twice), Easthouses, Musselburgh and only gone down 2-1 at Broxburn. They've also lost to Oakley, been spanked 3-0 at Arniston and got humped 0-7 by EK. Allowing for their earlier costly point deduction they now need to obtain 8-12pts from:Penicuik (H) Musselburgh (A) Peebles (A) Newtongrange (A)

There are numerous head-to-heads left and some other eminently winnable games. By the same token if Heriot-Watt reach such totals they'll finish 5th and that would bump Preston, St Andrews or Blackburn to 6th on 32pts. Accordingly it's a simple matter for Leith of hoping Cove don't get promoted to SPFL2. Unless you expect some left-field occurrence like a club outwith top 16 taking LL vacancy. In responding I forgot the fact that for Heriot-Watt to win out would clinch 5th and wouldn't have an effect on the 6th placed battle. Then it really is down to Cove winning promotion to the SPFL that would prevent the need for a 2nd 6th place team.

lowenan
I forgot about Preston/Heriot-Watt fighting for 5th, not 6th. So indeed 6th in C will finish with 32 points, and 6th in B will almost certainly outperform Leith in points. So unless Coldstream do the impossible, 6th in B will finish first. Leith from A will be second best, and the team from C will finish third from the teams that finished 6th. How many 6th places are required for the EOS Premier is not set yet. But two is likely. marcelo
Massive game for both clubs playing in conference a tonight for different reasons, Penicuik can go a step closer to the title and Coldstream for their top 5 aspirations should be a good game with it being 4-4 in the cup between the sides a month ago
FairWeatherFan
Conference A Coldstream 0-1 Penicuik Athletic (In Progress) Already started and Penicuik took the lead after 2 minutes. Score stays the same not only do they stretch to a 6 point lead at the top of the table, but Dunbar United will finish 5th guaranteeing them their EoS Premier spot next year. Final Score Coldstream 1-3 Penicuik Athletic Dunbar have 5th spot sealed up and Leith can only be caught if Coldstream win all their remaining games. Which are all away (Musselburgh, Peebles & Newtongrange). Edited April 10, 2019 by FairWeatherFan
HibeeJibee
Potentially interesting tug-of-war as Penicuik played last night, HoB on Saturday, Penicuik on Sunday, HoB on Tuesday, and both finish simultaneously a week on Saturday. Lead may swap on several occasions, as it has done in recent weeks. Penicuik currently has 2 better GD. If they were to beat Tweedmouth by notably more than HoB beat Peebles, it would put HoB in quite a difficult position on the last day, not only needing to win at Easthouses and hope Musselburgh won at Penicuik, but also recover a number of goals. Of course there is nothing to say that both those games will be won... or indeed HoB's games-in-hand at Newtongrange. Should full 9pts prove insurmountable for Coldstream you'd almost rather they only took 4pts or fewer, rather than be haunted by the costly administrative error.
FairWeatherFan
Conference A Hawick Royal Albert v. Dunbar United Musselburgh Athletic v. Coldstream Oakley United v. Arniston Rangers Peebles Rovers v. Hill of Beath Hawthorn Hawick, Oakley and Arniston all wrap up their Conference campaigns today. Coldstream need to win to keep their faint chance of the EoS Premier alive for a little longer. Hill of Beath looking for the win and to improve their goal difference as tomorrow Penicuik make the trip to Tweedmouth.

FairWeatherFan
Conference A Hawick Royal Albert 1-2 Dunbar United Musselburgh Athletic 4-0 Coldstream Oakley United 3-0 Arniston Rangers Peebles Rovers 1-6 Hill of Beath Hawthorn Musselburgh's win ties up most of the Conference. 6th place is decided, Top 5 is decided, it's now just about confirming the Conference champion. Oakley and Arniston end their Conference seasons today and Oakley get the bragging rights. Not only with the win but by assuring they finish up Arniston in the final standings due to their superior goal difference..
HibeeJibee
Now confirmed Leith pin their hopes on Cove failing. Pendulum swings back towards HoB with their big win today: they now have 3 better GD which they would improve upon by at least 2 by beating Newtongrange on Tuesday then Easthouses on Saturday, when they would be looking for Penicuik to lose at home to a resurgent Musselburgh. HoB also have 5 better GF... So to a certain extent the question is whether Penicuik can put half-a-dozen or more past Tweemouth tomorrow in the manner HoB did v Peebles today.
lowenan
Dalbeattie could go down if Cove goes up. So not necessarily the end for Leith if that happens.

FairWeatherFan
Conference A Tweedmouth Rangers 0-4 Penicuik Athletic Penicuik can now win the Conference championship if Hill of Beath fail to win on Tuesday. Otherwise a draw on Saturday against Musselburgh will be enough to wrap up the trophy. Hill of Beath need to win out and hope that Musselburgh beat Penicuik. The results alone will be enough to win on goal difference without having to worry about winning margins. Tuesday 16th April Newtongrange Star v. Hill of Beath Hawthorn Saturday 20th April Easthouses Lily MW v. Hill of Beath Hawthorn Penicuik Athletic v. Musselburgh Athletic

Depends what you consider interesting and competitive. East Kilbride ran away with the LL this year but you've always got the chance of a title race. Then at the bottom you're likely to lose Whitehill and the rest of the bottom are quite close together. So a decent shout for a competitive title race and relegation battles in both. The two will probably be on a par with each other overall next year and of course the Lowland League's the one that will continue to get stronger in comparison.

Yes they will be favourites to go up to LL, but in a 2match play off, the other potential opponents, Penicuik, HoB, Broxburn and Linlithgow are all good enough to win that mini league!
