Some cracking fixtures this weekend obviously the standout being Penicuik and hob, whoever loses out of Musselburgh and Newtongrange can rule themselves out of the title draw suits neither team, leith Dunbar and easthouses will all be looking to get 3 points in their pursuit of 5th place

No matter what the result of Musselburgh v Newtongrange - the title rests with either Penicuik or Hill of Beath. My money would be on Hill of Beath, but the winner of their match on Saturday would be favourites from that point onward.

Musselburgh and Nitten to finish 3rd and 4th with Dunbar to finish 5th. Coldstream do have a number of matches in hand but they still have to play 3 out of top 4 at least once.

I would have to agree with you hob seem to have the edge over penicuik in games this season so we will see after Saturday hob can’t afford to get beat

Took in Musselburgh Athletic 5-2 Newtongrange Star.

It was certainly eventful... Star 3-0 down, reduced to 10-men for kicking someone up in the air, got back to 3-1, then 4-1 after bizarre goal-line incident from a fresh aired backpass, then 4-2.

At this point you think "game on?", but having got booked for disputing the goal-line incident (I'm guessing he's not a chartered surveyor), their 'keeper got his 2nd yellow for a trip in the box.

Tubby midfielder took over between the sticks, conceded the penalty for 5-2, but thereafter kept a clean-sheet... interspersed with an artful display in running-down the clock.

All-in-all you'd struggle for better value from your hard-earned £6.

Real up and down game at Tweedmouth yesterday - Though not at their best, Peebles grabbed their opportunities and whilst win flatters them am sure they will gladly take it. it’s unfortunate  the Tweedmouth manager thought to resign on back of that performance as his team gave everything.  Seen Peebles a good few times and I don’t believe League position is true reflection, can’t help think they might put a spanner in the works of one of the more fancied teams going for top 5.

Eventful game between Leith and Oakley today. Nasty clash of heads held the game up - hope the boys are ok. Very poor Oakley side compared to the one Leith faced first game of the season! What’s happened there?

New committee took over and got rid of the management team that had turned things around last January. Most of the better players left in protest and they've just sold their top goalscorer to Crossgates.

Some big games this weekend coming up, potential banana skins for the top 2 with penicuik away to leith and h.o.b at home to Dunbar, you would have to fancy newtongrange and Musselburgh to win their games against the bottom 2 to keep their title hopes alive and Coldstream will be hoping a win against Arniston can keep them in the hunt for a top 5 finish
