Ginaro
I count 36/39 teams playing on 22nd September, that's some good fixture reshuffling to get all but three teams playing and keep idle weeks to a minimum.
HibeeJibee
Fairly standard in EOSL. Over the opening 11 weekends of the season there will only have been 17 idle clubs (per below), against 412 occupied clubs. Fortnight ago everyone played as 1 from each conference were contesting South Challenge Cup R1.Jul 28th 1 idle Aug 4th 1 idle Aug 11th 3 idle Aug 18th 1 idle Aug 25th none Sep 1st 1 idle Sep 8th 3 idle Sep 15th 2 idle Sep 22nd 3 idle Sep 29th 1 idle Oct 6th 1 idle If a full league card then by definition 1 club in each conference will be the odd team... unless 2 play a cup-tie (e.g. EOS Qualifying Cup R2s on Sep 29th & Oct 6th or King Cup R1s through Jan-Feb), or meet non-EOSL opposition, tbf. In the South equivalent the SFs are Lochmaben v Mid Annandale and Upper Annandale v Bonnyton. In context those sides lost 5-0 at home to Kelty, 5-1 at Edinburgh Utd, 5-0 at Civil Service and 3-2 at home to Preston in the South Challenge Cup recently: so the East winner would fancy their chances. I know you are giving the South sides their place but in all honesty, whoever wins the AJC has got to be overwhelming favourites in any clash. HibeeJibee
Absolutely. That's also been demonstrated by previous 2 editions (LTHV 6-1 Lochar and Tynecastle 3-0 Mid Annandale) and last season's playoff (Kelty 10-0 Threave on aggregate). LongTimeLurker
The reason to mention that last bit is that the Alex Jack cup winner has to beat the equivalent SoS Cup winner to get the Scottish Cup place for next season? Edit: first post in the thread confirms this is the case

boness4ever
Amazing 2nd half at Tranent, the home side taking the lead just after half time before Bo’ness equalised. 87 minutes Tranent made it 2-1,before 2 late goals and a red card for Bo’ness sealed our place in the last
HibeeJibee
Hill of Beath 2-3 Haddington In what I suspect will be considered a surprise result: Haddington progress under the hellfire illuminations in Fife, twice leading by 2 goals. They set-up a home SF against Bo'ness next month.Saturday 20th OctoberBroxburn v Camelon Haddington v Bo'ness
Deanburn Dave
That was for me anyway a surprise result as I fully expected HoB's to grind out a win tonight. So it's BU's v Haddington in the league on the 6th October ...............with the semi final tie 2 weeks later in Haddington. Bring it on !! Mon the BU's !!!
